Millions of Gallons of Raw Sewage Reportedly Flowing into Mississippi River Near Jefferson Barracks, Missouri

They don't call it the muddy Mississippi for nothing.

State officials say raw sewage is flowing into the Mississippi River near Jefferson Barracks and has been for nearly a week.

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources says the Metropolitan Sewer District reported a mechanical failure at one of their stations Tuesday.
