Man Finds 3.20-Carat White Diamond at Arkansas' Crater of Diamonds State Park (World's Only Public Diamond Mine)

Diamonds, the semi-precious stone. A man just found a 3.2 carat diamond at the world's only PUBLIC DIAMOND MINE. I bet you didn't know that the United States of America had a public diamond mine. Yep, in Arkansas. Click here for further information on the Crater of Diamonds State Park.

Billy Moore, 45, of Murfreesboro, Ark., was searching for diamonds at the Crater of Diamonds State Park when he thought he had discovered a piece of wadded up gum paper.

But the gum wrapper was a 3.20-carat diamond.

Moore was “wet sifting” in the east drain of the park’s 37.5 acre diamond search area when he found the stone in his screen.
