United Nations Communications and Technology Chief Says World Needs a Cyber Treaty to Prevent All-Out War!

Cyber wars, nothing but cyber wars! I may have said that phrase on this blog before and I will likely say it again as the cyber wars begin in full effect. In December, 2009, numerous corporations were hit by a sophisticated cyber attack likely originating from China. The cyber attacks have continued and a day does not go by when I do not hear about some corporation being hit. The United Nations now says the world needs a new cyber attack treaty between nations to stop the cyber war from escalating into a real all-out war!

I will withhold any comment on the U.N. position until I can read any proposed treaty to see if the treaty is Constitutional.

International Telcommunications Union secretary-general Hamadoun Toure gave his warning at a World Economic Forum debate where experts said nations must now consider when a cyber attack becomes a declaration of war.

For a good background on the cyber attacks that contributed to Google's reevaluation of its operations in China (including saying that it would stop censoring Google.cn) and also hit 33 other companies, click the aforementioned link from InformationWeek.

A report issued on Tuesday by iDefense, a computer security company owned by Verisign, states that 33 other companies were targeted in the attack. It also says that those responsible were working either directly on on behalf of official intelligence entities of the People's Republic of China...

Eli Jellenc, head of international cyber intelligence at Verisign iDefense, stopped short of claiming that the attackers were formally employed by a Chinese intelligence agency...

Adobe on Tuesday said that it learned of "a sophisticated, coordinated attack against corporate network systems managed by Adobe and other companies" on January 2 and that it is investigating the incident. It said that it had no evidence that any sensitive information had been compromised...

Internet Web hosting company Rackspace has confirmed that it was subject to attack, noting that no customer data was compromised or altered.

According to The Washington Post, Dow Chemical and Northrop Grumman may also have been targets of the attacks.

Pentagon Calls for Creation of 'Office of Strategic Deception'

Is this the real bin Laden or a fake video released by the Pentagon and its associates?

You can check out the original
Raw Story article by clicking the link. The article is based on a report released by the Pentagon calling for an Office of Strategic Deception. You mean the Pentagon doesn't already have one of these offices? Doesn't Intelcenter.com (which releases the Al-Qaeda and bin Laden videos) already have relations with Donald Rumsfeld and the Pentagon?

Remember the Pentagon Office of Special Plans that helped collect dubious intelligence that led to the war in Iraq? Or the program where the Pentagon secretly briefed military analysts to promote the Iraq war?

Meet the would-be Office of Strategic Deception.

In a little-noticed report earlier this month, the Defense Department's powerful Defense Science Board recommended creation of an entity designed solely for "strategic deception" against US adversaries.

Belize National Emergency Management Organization Conducts "2012" Earthquake, Flood & Super Weather System Drill in Cayo District

If I keep talking about stuff like this super emergency drill in Belize that support the whole 2012 notion, then I might start believing it. The drill involves an earthquake followed by a dam breaking and then some type of weather system -- or as I would call it, "the worst day ever." However, a mere drill is not evidence of any imminent danger. As for the 2012 stuff, I am just paraphrasing the article.

Click here for the official National Emergency Management Organization page on this drill.

Heard of the perfect storm? What about the perfect disaster? Well, if there is such a thing, the National Emergency Management Organization staged it today in the Cayo District. It’s the combination of an earthquake leading to a dam break leading to a massive flood – all coinciding with a weather system. Sounds kind of like the storyline for 2012, right? It’s not – NEMO says it is a maximum credible event – and they involved 3,500 people in the biggest disaster simulation ever playing out all across the Cayo District. We were there in the planning stage this morning.

Jules Vasquez Reporting,
This is the rescue of a woman drowning in the Macal River. It’s just a simulation – she’s not really drowning but it’s a small part of the biggest live simulation in NEMO’s history.

Jules Vasquez,
“Is this the largest single simulation you all have done?”

Major Shelton DeFour, NEMO
Yes it’s the largest single live event simulation."

And this group is going over the details of that event.

Major Shelton DeFour,
“Basically today we are testing the dam early warning system for Challilo or for the dams in Cayo and what we are looking at is the siren system to see if it will work, how people will react to it if they hear it, and how people will get to safety. In a nutshell that is what we are trying to achieve.”

And the scenario is that simultaneous occurrence of a dam break and bad weather.

Major Shelton DeFour,
“Well basically we have a weather system building up some pressure in terms of flooding in the Cayo District and that will be complicated by an earthquake which should trigger the warning system to ensure that people react to the drills that have been set out in the plan and that has been practiced by the committee.”

And it was rehearsed down to every detail by the district coordinator Al Westby...

Costa Rican Health Minister Imposes Mandatory H1N1 "Swine Flu" Vaccinations on Population (Will Use Force to Make People Comply)

Are mandatory vaccinations along with forced compliance coming soon to America? Allegedly, the H1N1 vaccine is now mandatory in Costa Rica and if you are in any risk group, then you will receive the vaccine. Costa Rica will use force if necessary! The only exceptions are available to people who have either mercury or egg allergies.

###

Marylin Azofeifa Marín, a 27 year old pregnant woman from Coronado, was the first to receive the AH1N1 vaccine that arrived in Costa Rica last week. Dr. María Luisa Ávila, the ministra de Salud (Health minister), personally administered the first of the 199.333 doses of the vaccine against the AH1N1 flu virus.

The vaccine is being purchased by the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and being administered to all Costa Ricans free of charge.

The shipment of almost 200.000 doses arrived last week is part of Costa Rica's order for 1.6 million doses, which are expected to arrive in the coming months.

Ministra Ávila said that the vaccine is mandatory.

Those identified in the high risk group - pregnant women, diabetics, patients with asthma, hyper tension, the obese and those working in the health care field - will be the first to be vaccinated.

To show faith in the vaccine, Dr. Ávila got her shot in front of the cameras, saying it is important to be protected as she visits local hospitals, clinics and patients on a regular basis.

Eduardo Doryan, president of the CCSS, said the focus of the vaccination will be in areas where there have been more cases of the AH1N1 and then will move to all other areas.

The vice-ministra de Salud, Ana Morice, explained that the CCSS will be compiling a list from medical records of persons that are required to be vaccinated, especially in the Metropolitan (San José) area.

Morice said those people will be notified by telephone, by the news media and by door-to-door visits by Salud officials where there is an address on file.

"The vaccination is mandatory. It is important that the population go to the clinics. We will first make call to those who are to be vaccinated, then we will go looking for them if they do not come in", said Morice.

The vice-ministra said that those people on the list who do not want to receive the vaccine, will be obligated to do so. "The idea is not use force, even though we have the right to go with the police to pull people from their homes and take them to a medical centre to be vaccinated", explained Morice.

The mandatory vaccination is based on government decree 35703-S of the Ley General de Salud published on January 21, 2010 in the official government publication, La Gaceta.

Morice explained that the only exceptions to the vaccination are those allergic to eggs and mercury, because the effects of the dose against AH1N1 may be worse. Also, those who have been infected will no be vaccinated as the possibility of re-infection is only 5%.

The vaccine is not being sold in pharmacies and is only available at CCSS hospitals and clinics known as Ebais and applied by Salud officials.

Dr. Ávila said that the vaccine may have some side effects like reddening and swelling of the area where the vaccine is applied, but will disappear within 24 hours.

Czech Republic President Stops Mandatory H1N1 "Swine Flu" Vaccinations of Czech Soldiers

It is good to see the Czech President step in to stop these mandatory vaccinations. It probably helps that President Klaus used to be the commander-in-chief of the Czech Armed Forces, so he likely understands the additional stresses that a harmful mandatory vaccine may have on troop morale.

Klaus steps in to stop mandatory swine flu vaccinations for soldiers

28-01-2010 14:10 | Rob Cameron

President Vaclav Klaus has stepped in to stop mandatory vaccination of Czech soldiers against swine flu, telling Army staff the order to vaccinate all 16,000 soldiers was “highly controversial, if not unacceptable.” Mr Klaus – formally commander-in-chief of the Czech Armed Forces – announced in a statement on Wednesday that he’d asked the Defence Ministry to make vaccination voluntary. The ministry, it seems, has jumped to attention.

Listen:RealAudioDownload:MP3Podcast:Subscribe

President Klaus appears unconvinced that the Czech Republic is in the grip of a swine flu epidemic. On Thursday he published a letter to the country’s chief hygiene officer asking him to clarify whether the swine flu situation in the Czech Republic indeed constituted an epidemic or pandemic. This information, he said, was crucial in his decisions as commander-in-chief of the Czech Army. Mr Klaus has already published a statement saying soldiers were “not guinea pigs” and called mandatory swine flu vaccination of all 16,000 soldiers plus civilian staff "unacceptable".

President Václav Klaus, photo: CTK Mr Klaus is not alone in his skepticism. So far the Czech Republic has registered 2,381 confirmed cases of swine flu, with 95 deaths, the vast majority of them among people with existing medical conditions. A number of Czech doctors have publicly refused to vaccinate either themselves or their patients, saying the possible health risks outweighed the benefits. The Health Ministry has accused them of ignorance, saying they lack the proper information.

The Defence Ministry responded quickly to President Klaus’s comments. A spokeswoman said the vaccination plan would be ‘reevaluated’ and the numbers lowered, although no details were provided. For other security personnel – i.e. the police – vaccination is voluntary, and here too skepticism reigns.

Even among the general population only around 30% of those chronically ill patients earmarked for the swine flu vaccine have received the injection. Czechs are a very health conscious nation, but in this case it seems that most of them believe – rightly or wrongly – that the drug companies are pulling the wool over their eyes.

University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture: $397 Million Crop Loss in the State for Year 2009

The full report may be downloaded HERE.

In the News - January 2010
U of A Division of Agriculture pegs 2009 crop loss at $397 million

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Economists with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture on Tuesday pegged the 2009 crop losses at $397 million, resulting in an estimated loss of nearly 3,700 full- and part-time jobs at a cost of $102 million in wages and salaries.

Wayne Miller, U of A Division of Agriculture professor of agricultural economics, said the losses are estimated to have reduced value-added by $202.7 million. Value-added encompasses soy, corn and rice processing, cotton ginning and reduced household spending by Arkansans whose incomes are tied to agriculture.

Record rainfall throughout the summer and fall turned fields into lakes, bogged down the harvest and encouraged insects and disease. Rainstorms caused some crops to lodge, seed heads to germinate and discolored and damaged cotton bolls.

"Cotton and sorghum are estimated to have experienced the largest negative impact per acre, but total loss is greatest for soybeans, at $204 million, and cotton and cottonseed, at $120 million," said Eric Wailes, professor of agricultural economics and agribusiness for the U of A Division of Agriculture.

The crop loss estimate report was created by Wailes, Miller, Scott Stiles, instructor of agricultural economics; Brad Watkins, associate professor of agricultural economics; and Jeffrey Hignight, a program associate at the Rice Research and Extension Center in Stuttgart.

The report was based on yield and price data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Agricultural Statistics Service, as well as quality loss estimates from local elevators and fieldwork estimates from extension specialists with the U of A Division of Agriculture.

Here is a crop-by-crop look at the damage:

  • Corn - Poor harvest conditions added up to a nearly $14 million hit to corn producers from yield and quality loss plus additional fieldwork. The September yield estimate from the NASS of 153 bushels per acre was reduced to 148 bushels per acre in the January 2010 report. The decrease in yield reduced revenue by $7.2 million.
  • Cotton - Arkansas cotton producers have been hit the hardest as a percentage of gross receipts compared to the other crops. The economic losses from acreage, yield and quality, plus additional fieldwork costs on cotton and cottonseed combined is estimated to be a $120 million reduction in gross receipts. The September NASS yield estimate was 1,056 pounds per acre, but the January estimate was reduced to 797 pounds per acre. It was estimated that 15,000 acres were completely destroyed by poor weather conditions. Together, yield loss and destroyed acres reduced revenue from lint and seed by $100 million.
  • Soybeans - It is estimated that Arkansas soybeans producers lost nearly $204.2 million from decreased acreage, yield, quality, and additional fieldwork. The September NASS yield estimate of 38 bushels per acre was reduced a half-bushel per acre in January. It is estimated that 100,000 acres were destroyed from the poor harvest conditions. Combining losses from destroyed acres and yield loss, revenue was reduced by $52.9 million. The largest portion of losses in soybeans was from deterioration in quality.
  • Sorghum - Arkansas sorghum producers saw a loss of approximately 41.2 percent of their gross receipts from reduced acreage, yield, quality and additional fieldwork from poor conditions. The estimated loss in gross receipts from reduced yield, quality, and additional fieldwork costs is $4.5 million.
  • Rice - Rice producers in Arkansas saw moderate losses from poor harvest conditions, varying from none to substantial, depending on location. Gross receipts are estimated to be reduced by nearly $46.3 million from acreage, yield and quality losses, plus additional fieldwork costs. The September NASS yield estimate of 152.2 bushels per acre was reduced to 151.1 bushels per acre in the January report. It is estimated that 10,000 acres were destroyed by poor weather at harvest. Combining losses from destroyed acres and yield loss, revenue was reduced by $18 million.
  • Grass Hay - Hay producers lost an estimated $7.8 million from poor conditions throughout the growing season. Estimates come from the Oct. 9 crop production and crop prices reports released by NASS. It is estimated that there were 1.4 million acres of grass hay with a normal yield of 2.2 tons per acre. The weather reduced yields by approximately 4 percent according to unpublished estimates from the Arkansas Farm Service Agency. Losses on hay pastures are concentrated in the south and southwest part of Arkansas.

Haiti Gets One (1) Penny of Each U.S. Aid Dollar

Think about the fact that only one (1) percent of the U.S. is actually making it to Haiti before you donate to one of the many charities that have appeared in recent weeks. Donate to those charities on the ground in Haiti that have a proven track record of assistance and non-corruption.

Of each U.S. taxpayer dollar, 40 cents is going to the U.S. military, paying for security, search and rescue teams, and the Navy's hospital ship USNS Comfort.

Another 36 cents funds US AID's disaster assistance - everything from $5,000 generators to $35 hygiene kits with soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste for a family of five.

Just over a dime has already been spent on food: 122 million pounds of pinto beans, black beans, rice, corn soy blend and vegetable oil...

Getting the food to Haitians - paying for freighters, trucks and distribution centers, and the people to staff them, took another 10.5 cents from each dollar.

New Mexico to Build $1 Billion 300-Megawatt Solar Plant in Guadalupe County with GA-Solar

As the world's Energy Wars enter their fifth decade, it is finally nice to see people using or at least attempting to use the energy given off by the big ball at the center of the Solar System -- namely the Sun.

###
Governor Bill Richardson Announces GA Solar to Build One of World’s Largest Photovaltaic Solar Projects in New Mexico

January 27, 2010
Michael Moxey (505) 660-1926

SANTA FE- Governor Bill Richardson today announced that Spanish renewable energy company GA-Solar will be building one of the largest photovoltaic solar projects in the world in Guadalupe County. GA-Solar and their parent company, Corporación Gestamp, plan to invest $1 billion in New Mexico in the development of this project.

“I believe this unprecedented investment shows that New Mexico has not only become the center of the North American solar industry, but is ready to take its place as a global player in the production of renewable energy,” Governor Richardson said. “Building a comprehensive clean energy economy is key to the economic stability and vitality of New Mexico’s future.”

GA-Solar’s project will be located on 2,500 acres of land in Guadalupe County, which will be developed into a large solar array with the potential to reach upwards of 300MW of installed capacity once completed. It is expected to generate enough energy to power the equivalent of 50,000 homes for one year.

The project is estimated to take up to four years to construct, during which time the company will be employing 300 people in rural New Mexico. Upon completion, the company will maintain 75 full-time employees.

“Renewable energy and energy efficiency have steadily gained popularity in the United States and in New Mexico, in particular,” says Jon Riberas, CEO of GA-Solar and Corporación Gestamp. “GA-Solar is a leader in photovoltaic solar generation, with the depth and breadth of experience needed to grow the solar energy sector.”

Riberas also states, “The U.S. renewable market is the largest in the world, and we are fortunate to be in a region that has the necessary abundance of sun, wind and biomass activity for the production of renewable energy as well as the development of all business units within Gestamp Renewables.”

Additionally, the project will become a cornerstone in attracting solar investment and construction to New Mexico. Corporación Gestamp, one of the largest steel companies in the world, plans to source the racking equipment from local manufacturing facilities. Other potential entities attracted may include photovoltaic producers, inverters and steel manufacturers.

“This is one of the most exciting projects that we have ever welcomed to New Mexico,” said Economic Development Department Cabinet Secretary Fred Mondragón. “We are honored that GA-Solar recognizes that the combination of unlimited sunshine and our hard working labor pool are the only incentives they need to build their 300MW solar array in Guadalupe County,”

This is the third green economy project announced this month by Governor Richardson. On January 8th, the Governor welcomed Johnson Plate and Tower, wind tower manufacturers, to Santa Teresa. Last week he welcomed green building products manufacturer C/D² Enterprises to the Gallup area. Over the next few years, these three projects combined will create nearly 500 new green jobs.

More on GA-Solar and Corporación Gestamp: GA-Solar is a well-established leader in the solar energy sector as a developer of renewable energy projects in Spain, Italy, USA and India with over 200+ MW commissioned. GA-Solar focuses on the entitlement, design and engineering of solar projects, both thermal and photovoltaic, developing projects from start to finish. Upon development, GA-Solar undertakes feasibility studies and procures financing to construct and operate the plant.

GA-Solar’s parent company, Corporación Gestamp, is a $5 billion privately held Spanish corporation. It is a leader in the European steel, automotive component, storage and logistics sectors. It is also one the largest implementer of photovoltaic solar in Spain and Italy and partners with market leaders to build steel structures for PV and thermo-solar projects. Corporación Gestamp is a world leader in the manufacturing of steel towers for wind turbines and operates and develops wind projects (through Gestamp Eólica) as well as biomass projects (Gestamp Biothermal). Corporación Gestamp employs over 14,000 people at 69 various sites around the world.

BART Provides Free H1N1 "Swine Flu" Vaccines During Evening Commute To Test Alameda County's Health Crisis Emergency Readiness Plan

Only a few months ago, the H1N1 "swine flu" vaccine was in short supply and there was controversy when people were skipping others who were ahead of them in the vaccine priority queue. Now that the H1N1 hype and paranoia has died down, the millions of vaccine dosages are rotting on shelves around the country and the world with the pharmaceutical companies set to lose millions, if not billions of dollars. Big pharma cannot afford to take a loss on the vaccine investments it made when it appeared that 200+ million people in the U.S. would be getting the vaccine.

I guess if the powers-that-be cannot scare people to get the vaccine, then they will make it super convenient, easy and free to get. What's next, will the vaccinators deliver the vaccine to your door in thirty (30) minutes or less like a deep dish pizza? Some in Canada have even proposed setting up mobile vaccine centers outside of nightclubs and pubs.

Not to be outdone, if you live in the Yay Arena (Bay Area), specifically in Oaktown 3-5-7 (Oakland) and ride the BART system, then you had
a chance today to get a FREE H1N1 "swine flu" vaccine while traveling on your evening commute.

Commuters traveling through downtown Oakland on BART today will have a chance to receive a free H1N1 flu shot while also helping to test the county's emergency readiness plan in case of a health crisis.

The Alameda County Public Health Department and BART are teaming for what is thought to be a first of its kind real-time, mass vaccination on a regional transit system. The event will be held beginning at 3 p.m. at the City Center-12th Street station in Oakland.

The mass vaccination serves two purposes. First, it will help health officials evaluate their ability to coordinate a scaled emergency response for a public health crisis that requires medical treatment of the general public, such as mass vaccination against pandemic. Second, it will serve as a means to dispense free swine flu shots to those who have yet to receive one through their medical provider or other means.

Russian Navy Reportedly Says U.S. Caused 7.0 Earthquake in Haiti

Let me give this story a big fat disclaimer that it is 100% unverified (i.e., I have not seen an official statement from Russian Navy making this statement), but the Russian Navy reportedly believes America caused the 7.0 Haitian earthquake. While we may never know the story, there is a likely motive if one believes the previous articles that have been linked on here about the alleged oil and gold in Haiti that the globalist bankers would love to exploit.

The Russian Navy reports that the U.S. created the earthquake in Haiti

The Russian Northern Fleet indicates that the earthquake that devastated Haiti was clearly the result of a test by the U.S. Navy through one of its earthquake weapons and drew up a diagram of linear succession in relation to earthquakes reported to have occurred by chance to the same depth in Venezuela and Honduras.

The Northern Fleet has been monitoring the movements and activities of U.S. Marines in the Caribbean since 2008 when the Americans announced their intention to reestablish the Fourth Fleet, which was disbanded in 1950, and that Russia responded a year later, with the Fleet led by the nuclear-powered cruiser Peter the Great "by starting its first exercises in this region since the end of the Cold War.”

Since the end of the decade of the 70's in the last century, the U.S. "advanced a lot" in the state of its earthquake weapons and, according to these reports, they now use equipment with Pulse, Plasma and Tesla Electromagnetic and Sonic technology together with "shock wave bombs."

The report also compares the experiences of these two earthquake weapons of the U.S. Navy last week, when the test in the Pacific caused an earthquake of magnitude 6.5 to strike in the area around the town of Eureka, Calif., causing no casualties. But the test in the Caribbean caused the death of at least 140 thousand innocent people.

According to the report, it is "more than likely" that the U.S. Navy had "full knowledge" of the catastrophic damage that this test earthquake could potentially have on Haiti and had pre-positioned its Deputy Commander of the Southern Command, General PK Keen, on the island to oversee aid work if needed.

As regards the final result of the tests of these weapons, the report warns that there is a U.S. plan to destroy Iran through a series of earthquakes designed to overthrow its current Islamic regime. Additionally, according to the report, the system being tested by the USA (HAARP Project) would also create anomalies in the climate causing floods, droughts and hurricanes.

According to another report, coincidentally, facts exist establishing that the earthquake in Sichuan, China on 12 May 2008, a magnitude 7.8 on the Richter scale, was also caused by HAARP radio frequencies. It can be observed that there is a correlation between seismic activity and the ionosphere, through the control of Radio Frequencies Induced by force fields, which is a HAARP feature, and it can be concluded that:

1. - Earthquakes identical in depth and linearly on the same fault are caused by induced frequency linear projection.

2.- A coordinated satellite configuration can generate concentrated frequency projections targeting specific points (force fields).

3. - A diagram shows that earthquakes considered to be artificial propagate linearly at the same depth.

-Venezuela, on January 8, 2010. Depth: 10 km.

- Honduras, on 11 January 2010. Depth: 10 km.

- Haiti, on 12 January 2010. Depth: 10 km.

The rest of the aftershocks occurred at depths close to 10 km.

Soon after the earthquake, the Pentagon said the hospital ship USS Comfort, which was docked in Baltimore, summoned its crew and sailed to Haiti, despite the fact that several days would elapse before arrival in Haiti. Nevertheless, Navy Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the U.S. armed forces were preparing an emergency response to the disaster.

General Douglas Fraser, Commander-in-Chief of USSSOUTHCOM, said that Coast Guard and U.S. Navy vessels in the region were sent to offer help even if they had limited resources and helicopters.

The aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson was sent from the naval base at Norfolk, Virginia, with a complete consignment of aircraft and helicopters. It arrived in Haiti early on the afternoon of January 14. Other additional groups of helicopters will attach with the Carl Vinson, said Fraser.

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), operated in Haiti before the earthquake. President Obama was informed of the earthquake at 17.52 on January 12 and asked his staff to ensure that embassy officials were safe and began preparations to provide needed humanitarian assistance.

According to the Russian report, the State Department, USAID and the U.S. Southern Command began its work of "humanitarian invasion" by sending at least 10,000 soldiers and contractors, to control Haitian territory, rather than the UN, after the devastating "experimental earthquake."

U.S. SOUTHCOM to Award Lockheed Martin Information Technology Support Services Sole Source Contract for Operation Unified Response Haiti

I just realized that Operation Unified Response Haiti writes acronymically (and yes, I know 'acronymically' is not word) out as O.U.R. Haiti as in "we own it." Well, maybe it is not that drastic, but you just have to love the cute acronyms that are always given to these operations. My personal favorite was Operation Iraqi Liberation or O.I.L. back in 2003. The government quickly changed the mission name to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Below is a pre-solicitation notice for U.S. SOUTHCOM's desire to contract the Lockheed Martin Corporation for IT Support Services in Haiti.

California Layoff Database for Employees Under Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Law

This database from The San Jose Mercury News contains the companies on the California Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) law list. California's WARN law requires certain companies with more than seventy-five (75) employees to provide sixty (60) days advance notice of a plant closing or mass layoff involving fifty (50) or more employees.

***NOTE: The Dorsey and Whitney LLP listing is a transcription error and should not have been included in the database.

Above the Law talked to a Dorsey & Whitney spokesperson. The error isn’t the fault of the San Jose Mercury News:

This is for a client and appears to be a transcription error by whomever entered the info into the database. We are NOT closing our SoCal office.

U.S. Government Gives Five (5) Bell-412 Helicopters to Mexico as Part of Merida Initiative

###

U.S. gives reconnaissance helicopters to Mexico
Monday, December 21, 2009 8:33:25 PM (GMT Standard Time, UTC+00:00)

Tuesday, I was in Mexico City to attend a ceremony in which the U.S. Government delivered five Bell-412 helicopters to Mexico as part of the Merida Initiative. As Commander of U.S. Northern Command, I was honored to represent the Department of Defense in this historic ceremony.

The helicopters are to be used by the Mexican Air Force for transport and reconnaissance missions.

The delivery of these five helicopters reflect the U.S. Government’s continued commitment to work with the Government of Mexico as a full partner in dealing with the societal, international and regional challenges posed by the international cartels and narcotics trafficking.

U.S. Northern Command is prepared to do its part through continued support for the Merida Initiative and by taking steps here at home that complement those efforts. We will continue to work with our Mexican military counterparts to increase information-sharing, interoperability, and training and equipping of their military forces. A great step forward in our continuing relationship.

Cheers,
Gene

Missing Two (2) Tons of Ammonium Nitrate in Canada Blamed on Clerical Error and Is Not Missing

I heard rumblings when this ammonium nitrate first was believed missing that these explosives might be used for some type of false flag attack during the 2010 Winter Olympics. It is now being reported that the explosives were not missing and that the disappearance was merely a clerical error.

The reported disappearance of 1 to 2 tons of a potentially explosive material involved a clerical error and not theft, officials at a Canadian firm said.

Officials at Kinder Morgan's chemical storage facility reported Dec. 31 the ammonium nitrate vanished during the transport of 6,000 tons of it from Alberta to Vancouver last fall.

Company officials now say a clerical error was made and no theft occurred, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Saturday.

FLASHBACK: Area 71 - Wal-Mart's Secret Data Center in McDonald County, Missouri

Picture of the Data Center in 2004

It isn't Area 51, Area 102 or even Warehouse 13. No, this is Sam Walton's Area 71 (or actually it is Wal-Mart's secret corporate data center on the Arkansas/Missouri border). I have no idea what type of data Wal-Mart is storing here, if anything, but it is probably quite significant considering it is rumored that Wal-Mart has enough storage capacity to contain all the data on the Internet two times over.

Behind a fence topped with razor wire just off U.S. Highway 71 is a bunker of a building that Wal-Mart considers so secret that it won't even let the county assessor inside without a nondisclosure agreement.

The 125,000-square-foot building, tucked behind a new Wal-Mart Supercenter, is only a stone's throw from the Arkansas line and about 15 miles from corporate headquarters in Bentonville, Ark.

There is nothing about the building to give even a hint that Wal-Mart owns it.

Despite the glimpses through the fence of manicured grass and carefully placed trees, the overall impression is that this is a secure site that could withstand just about anything. Earth is packed against the sides. The green roof - meant, perhaps, to blend into the surrounding Ozarks hills - bristles with dish antennas. On one of the heavy steel gates at the guardhouse is a notice that visitors must use the intercom for assistance.

What the building houses is a mystery.

Speculation

Wal-Mart's ability to crunch numbers is a favorite of conspiracy theorists, and its data centers are the corporate counterpart to Area 51 at Groom Lake in the state of Nevada. According to one consumer activist, Katherine Albrecht, even the wildest conspiracy buff might be surprised at just how much Wal-Mart knows about its customers - and how much more it would like to know.

"We were contacted about two years ago by somebody who runs a security company that had been asked in a request for proposals for ways they could link video footage with customers paying for their purchases," Albrecht said. "Wal-Mart would actually be able to view photos and video of customers paying, say, for a pack of gum. At the time, it struck me as unbelievably outlandish because of the amount of data storage required."

But Wal-Mart, according to a 2004 New York Times article, had enough storage capacity to contain twice the amount of all the information available on the Internet. For the technically minded, the exact amount was for 460 terabytes of data. The prefix tera comes from the Greek word for monster, and a terabyte is a trillion bytes, the basic unit of computer storage...

The 1,000th Remixx World! Post (Top 10 All-Time Articles & Links)

Thank you to all the readers! Remixx World! is now at 1,000 posts. Here is to 1,000 more and beyond!

As a lifelong comic book fan, there is no way I could do my 1,000th post without some sort of celebration. Granted, I cannot put up a bunch of different alternate covers like an early 1990s Image Comics book, so I'll simply just list the top 10 all-time articles that Remixx World! has posted since it first went online on August 27, 2006 after a wild Congressional primary election.

Without further delay, here are the top-10 posts (as determined by me and the readers of this blog):

1.
What Ingredients are in the H1N1 "Swine Flu" Vaccine? (Yes, Intranasal Contains Live H1N1 Virus)(Updated as of 11/30/2009) - Originally published on August 20, 2009. This article defined Remixx World! in 2009 and even beyond. It is a compilation article that links to various mainstream articles and videos that list the various ingredients in the numerous H1N1 "swine flu" vaccines. The article has received more hits than all other articles combined on Remixx World!

2.
H1N1 "Swine Flu" Vaccine Package Inserts (GSK, CSL, Novaris, Sanofi & MedImmune) - Originally published on September 15, 2009. I would call this posting a sister article to #1 above, because #1 was written prior to the pharmaceutical companies releasing the official package inserts. After each vaccine is approved, the FDA provided links to the vaccine package inserts that listed the ingredients, so I linked to the package inserts to confirm my findings in the previous article.

3.
Arepanrix™ H1N1 Swine Flu Vaccine Approved in Canada (Information Leaflet Reveals Thimerosal, Adjuvant and Formaldehyde Ingredients) - Originally published on October 22, 2009. This blog gets a lot of visitors from Canada, so I had to provide some information on the Canadian swine flu vaccine Arepanrix when it was first approved.

4.
Haiti Has Larger Oil Reserves Than Venezuela Say Scientists (An Olympic Pool Compared to a Glass of Water) - Originally published on January 16, 2010. An article that shows the power of the Internet. I only published it a week and a half ago and it is already one of the most popular stories I've ever linked. People are certainly interested in the possibility that there may be huge oil reserves in Haiti.

5.
U.S. Bank Holiday to Happen on August 26, 2009? (FDIC Almost Out of Money) - Originally published on August 7, 2009. Although we did not see a bank holiday, Remixx World! analyzed and determined that the FDIC insurance fund was broke. Remixx World! calculated that around this time that the insurance fund was negative $5.55 billion. Coincidentally (or not), the FDIC soon thereafter took out an emergency $5.6 billion loan for operations!

6.
350 Cases of Side Effects from Pandemrix H1N1 "Swine Flu" Vaccine Shot Reportedly in Sweden! - Originally published on November 2, 2009. Self explanatory, but many people in Europe viewed this article about the vaccine side effects during the flu hype in November and December, 2009.

7.
List of US666 & EU666 Vaccine Biodefense Stockpile Products in US & Europe (Including Prepandrix)! - Originally published on July 21, 2009. I had no idea at the time of publishing why the vaccines listed in this database have a '666' designation and I still do not know why these vaccines have such a designation. Nevertheless, Prepandrix and Pandemrix have this designation, and considering that some people have called the H1N1 vaccine the 'mark of the beast,' it is indeed a scary thought.

8.
Adverse Reactions to the H1N1 "Swine Flu" Vaccine (Numerous Reports) - Originally published on November 16, 2009. Compilation link to twenty-one (21) different articles documenting adverse reactions to the swine flu shot. Currently, there are millions of unused doses of this virus around the world that no one wants to take, so perhaps the information on this site and the many other great sites helped people make the informed decision to refuse the vaccine

9.
Weird Hexadecimal Code and Possible Warning in Telegraph's Operation Blackjack Part 5 (As Heard on Infowarrior Show)? - Originally published on June 16, 2009. This is the blog post that officially put Remixx World! on the map. Both Alex Jones and Jason Bermas covered the article on air to millions of listeners. The Blackjack matter turned out to be hoax, but thanks to the diligent efforts of the many online infowarriors, the hoax was revealed A LOT sooner than it would have been otherwise.

10. DON'T SING IT, BRING IT!!! - Originally published on October 17, 2006. One of the few articles on this blog that is written from a primary knowledge perspective. This article was written in response to an independent candidate's campaign manager in the 2006 Congressional race in the 9th District of Tennessee. The Memphis Flyer even linked this article locally.

Mother Who Loses Son to Brain Cancer Warns of Cell Phone Use

If you do not believe that electromagnetic fields raises a person's risk for cancer, then you should check out the below letter written by a Colorado mother who lost her kid at San Diego State. This woman is not a medical doctor conducting blind clinical trials on the issue, so if you require additional information and evidence, I would recommend you read The Great Power-Line Cover Up by Paul Brodeur. Cellular phones emit electromagnetic radiation at very high frequencies, so it is likely that these phones do increase the risk of cancer.

However, the United States government has not yet made this connection, but it also took the government years to make the connection between tobacco and health a half century ago.

Mother Who Loses Son to Brain Cancer Warns of Cell Phone Use

My Son, Rich Farver, died Oct. 11, 2008 from glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer. He was 28 years old when diagnosed and lived seven months.

He was a graduate student at SDSU (San Diego State University). There is a brain cancer cluster on campus. Five brain cancers, 4 within the last three years. Some Professor’s and I paid an expert to test a cell tower outside of this area, and it ended up being in normal ranges. There are over 300 antenna’s within a 4 mile radius of the campus.

Mr. Sam Milham, from the,” International EMF Collaborative,” concluded my Son’s brain tumor was cellphone related. Rich’s tumor was in his right frontal lobe, and he was right handed. He also owned a T-Mobile cell phone since 2000. Please, everyone be careful!

My husband and I were walking out of a store locally here in Colorado, and ran into one of our old neighbor’s, who asked how our Son’s were doing. We explained that Rich, was deceased. They told us of one of Rich’s friends from high school, was just diagnosed with brain cancer.

I NO longer have a cellphone, and it isn’t hard to do at all. The only purpose of one is EMERGENCIES only. Our Government isn’t keeping us safe. There are predictions that 2 billion people by the year 2020 will have brain tumors.

As a Mom, who watch a Son lose the ability to walk, see, and have blackouts for seven months, besides the fact losing a child is the worst ever. Do NOT let this happen to you! Rich, was the LOVE of my life, my Best Friend, and all I ever wanted. My hopes, dreams, and future are all but over. I have endless counseling sessions, medications for depression, and many days find it hard to get out of bed. No amount of money, success, material items could even come close. Please, be careful.

Also, WIFI has been eliminated from schools in many other countries. 1 hour of WIFI is equivalent to 20 minutes of cellphone exposure. Look at articles by, “The International EMF Collaborative,” and the,” BioInitiative Working Group!”

Sincerely,

Virginia Farver

Plagues and Pleasures on the Salton Sea (2004 Documentary Movie)

Watch Plagues.and.Pleasures.on.the.Salton.Sea.2004 in Educational & How-To | View More Free Videos Online at Veoh.com

The desert has always interested me. The desert is even more interesting when you add a huge inland sea to the mix - especially when that sea was a mistake that resulted from a Colorado River flooding over a hundred years ago. This documentary details the trials and tribulations of the people who live their lives by the Salton Sea!

From Wikipedia:

Once known as the “California Riviera”, the Salton Sea is now called one of America’s worst ecological disasters: a fetid, stagnant, salty lake, that coughs up dead fish and birds by the thousands in frequent die-offs that occur. However, amongst the ruins of this man-made mistake, a few remaining eccentrics (a roadside nudist, a religious folk artist, a Hungarian revolutionary, and real estate speculators) struggle to keep a remodeled version of the original Salton Sea dream alive.

The film shares these people's stories and their difficulties in keeping their unique community alive, as the nearby cities of Los Angeles and San Diego attempt to take the agricultural water run-off that barely sustains the Salton Sea.

FLASHBACK: Defense Secretary Cohen Warned in 1997 of Man-Made Earthquakes and Volcanoes, Race-Specific Bioattacks and Geoengineered Insect Swarms

Just more fuel on the fire of whether man has the ability to create certain events that seem like naturally occurring events (i.e., man-made earthquakes like some are speculating occurred in Haiti). Way back in 1997, Secretary William Cohen was certainly preparing like mankind had the ability to create "natural" events. In fact, Secretary Cohen discussed this topic at a 1997 keynote address at the Conference on Terrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and U.S. Strategy at the Georgia Center, Mahler Auditorium, University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia (click this link for the full transcript of the key note address).

Q: Let me ask you specifically about last week's scare here in Washington, and what we might have learned from how prepared we are to deal with that (inaudible), at B'nai Brith.

A: Well, it points out the nature of the threat. It turned out to be a false threat under the circumstances. But as we've learned in the intelligence community, we had something called -- and we have James Woolsey here to perhaps even address this question about phantom moles. The mere fear that there is a mole within an agency can set off a chain reaction and a hunt for that particular mole which can paralyze the agency for weeks and months and years even, in a search. The same thing is true about just the false scare of a threat of using some kind of a chemical weapon or a biological one. There are some reports, for example, that some countries have been trying to construct something like an Ebola Virus, and that would be a very dangerous phenomenon, to say the least. Alvin Toeffler has written about this in terms of some scientists in their laboratories trying to devise certain types of pathogens that would be ethnic specific so that they could just eliminate certain ethnic groups and races; and others are designing some sort of engineering, some sort of insects that can destroy specific crops. Others are engaging even in an eco- type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves.

North Dakota is the Only State in USA with Its Own Central Bank (Will Oregon be the 2nd?)

I bet you did not know that North Dakota has its own central bank. In fact, it is the only State in the USA with its own bank. I wonder if that is why North Dakota has the lowest unemployment rate in the country. If that is the reason for its low unemployment rate, then I would imagine that other States may try to get their own central banks like North Dakota in the near future.

About BND
Deposit Base

In contrast to most commercial banks, Bank of North Dakota (BND) is not a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). North Dakota Century Code 6-09-10 provides that all deposits in Bank of North Dakota are guaranteed by the state.

The deposit base of BND is unique. Its primary deposit base is the State of North Dakota. All state funds and funds of state institutions are deposited with Bank of North Dakota, as required by law. Other deposits are accepted from any source, private citizens to the U.S. government.

Policy and Governance

The state Industrial Commission oversees Bank of North Dakota, as mandated by the 1919 state legislature. Members of the Industrial Commission are the Governor, who acts as chairman, the Attorney General and the Commissioner of Agriculture of the State of North Dakota.

The Bank also has a seven-member Advisory Board appointed by the Governor. The members are knowledgeable in banking and finance. The Advisory Board reviews the Bank's operations and makes recommendations to the Industrial Commission relating to the Bank's management, services, policies and procedures.

Bill Bradbury, a Democratic gubernatorial candidate in Oregon, has stated that he will create a Bank of Oregon if elected. I have not been following the Oregon Governor's race, so I do not know if Mr. Bradbury is favored or if he is a longshot. However, as I said, I do not expect this to be the last time we hear a politician and/or a State proposing its own central bank. I wish them luck, because I would much rather have a State-central bank instead of some Bernanke-run Federal Reserve.
