Helium-3 gas is a key component of equipment used at ports and border crossings to detect radiation and prevent the smuggling of nuclear material into the United States, among other uses.
Hmmm, if there is no helium-3 supply, then how will Homeland Security detect potential acts of terrorism (or a false flag event) via the transport of radioactive materials into the United States of America?
The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), a separate agency within the Department of Energy (DOE), extracts helium-3 and controls the inventory. Since 2003, NNSA has made helium-3 available for sale to DOE’s Isotope Development and Production for Research and Applications Program (Isotope Program). After September 11, 2001, demand increased for radiation detection equipment, and in 2008, the federal government learned that it faced a severe domestic shortage of the gas. GAO was asked to review DOE’s management of helium-3 to (1) determine the extent to which the federal government’s response to the helium-3 shortage was affected by DOE’s management of helium-3; (2) determine the federal government’s priorities for allocating the limited supply of helium-3; and (3) describe the steps that the federal government is taking to increase the helium-3 supply and develop alternatives to helium-3. GAO reviewed DOE and NNSA documents and interviewed cognizant agency officials
What GAO Recommends
GAO recommends, among other things, that DOE clarify whether the stewardship for those isotopes produced outside the Isotope Program, such as helium-3, rests with the program or another DOE entity. DOE stated that it understands and can implement these recommendations.

This blog has been saying the same thing for the last year or so - that a false flag attack on the Internet will be used to usher in new draconian controls on privacy and usage. You can read some of the articles in the Remixx World! archives.
An increasing clamour to restrict and control the internet on behalf of the government, the Pentagon, the intelligence community and their private corporate arms, could result in a staged cyber attack being used as justification.
Over recent months we have seen a great increase in media coverage of inflated fears over a possible “electronic Pearl Harbor” event, with reports claiming that the U.S. could be “felled within 15 minutes”.
Vastly over-hyped (and in some cases completely asinine) claims that the power grids and other key infrastructure such as rail networks and water sources are wired up to the public internet have permeated such coverage.
Threats against computer networks in the United States are grossly exaggerated. Dire reports issued by the Defense Science Board and the Center for Strategic and International Studies “are usually richer in vivid metaphor — with fears of ‘digital Pearl Harbors’ and ‘cyber-Katrinas’ — than in factual foundation,” writes Evgeny Morozov, a respected researcher and blogger who writes on the political effects of the internet.
Morozov notes that much of the data on the supposed cyber threat “are gathered by ultra-secretive government agencies — which need to justify their own existence — and cyber-security companies — which derive commercial benefits from popular anxiety.”
When the Cybersecurity Act was introduced by Senator John Rockefeller last year, he made similar claims about the threat of cyber attacks, adding “Would it have been better if we’d have never invented the Internet?”.
Rockefeller’s legislation gives the president the ability to “declare a cybersecurity emergency” and shut down or limit Internet traffic in any “critical” information network “in the interest of national security.” The bill does not define a critical information network or a cybersecurity emergency. That definition would be left to the president, according to a Mother Jones report.
Provisions in the bill would allow the federal government, via the DHS and the NSA, to tap into any digital aspect of every citizen’s information without a warrant. Banking, business and medical records would be wide open to inspection, as well as personal instant message and e mail communications – all in the name of heading off cyber attacks on the nation.
Enhancements of such provisions are contained in the more recent “Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act”, which is being pushed hard by Senator Joe Lieberman. The bill would hand absolute power to the federal government to close down networks, and block incoming Internet traffic from certain countries under a declared national emergency.
An accompanying cybersecurity control grid would only create greater risk according to experts who note that it would essentially “establish a path for the bad guys to skip down.” Other countries, such as Australia and the UK are following suit.
During the Senate Armed Services Committee confirmation hearing, Alexander said the Pentagon’s Cyber Command would enjoy “significant synergy” with the NSA. “We have to show what we’re doing to ensure that we comport, comply with the laws,” said Alexander, perversely claiming the agency is respecting and protecting the privacy of the American people.
The Pentagon considers cyberspace a warfighting domain equal to land, sea, air and space. In 2003, the Pentagon classified the internet as an enemy “weapons system” requiring a “robust offensive suite of capabilities to include full-range electronic and computer network attack.” It has spent Billions of dollars building a super secret “National Cyber Range” in order to prepare for “Dominant Cyber Offensive Engagement”, which translates as control over “any and all” computers. The program has been dubbed “The Electronic Manhattan Project”.
The enemy is never specifically named, it is merely whoever uses the net, because the enemy IS the net. The enemy is the freedom the net provides to billions around the globe and the threat to militaristic dominance of information and the ultimate power that affords.
These initiatives represent a continuation of the so called “Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative”, created via a secret presidential order in 2008 under the Bush administration. former National Intelligence Director Mike McConnell announced that the NSA’s warrantless wiretaps would “be a walk in the park compared to this,”.
“This is going to be a goat rope on the Hill” McConnell said. My prediction is that we’re going to screw around with this until something horrendous happens.”
As we have previously reported, large corporations such as Google, AT&T, Facebook and Yahoo to name but a few are intimately involved in the overarching program. Those corporations have specific government arms that are supplying the software, hardware and tech support to US intelligence agencies in the process of creating a vast closed source database for global spy networks to share information.
Clearly the implications of this program for the open and free internet, and for liberty in general are very worrying, this has been reflected in the resistance and criticism from groups such as the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
In light of this, there is a real danger of a hyped or completely staged cyber attack being propagated in order to bring the issue to public attention and counter the critics who have exposed it as a part of the agenda to restrict the Internet.
In 2008 Stanford Law professor Lawrence Lessig detailed such ongoing government plans for overhaul and restriction.
Lessig told attendees of a high profile Tech conference that “There’s going to be an i-9/11 event” which will act as a catalyst for a radical reworking of the law pertaining to the internet.
Lessig said that he came to that conclusion following a conversation with former government Counter Terrorism Czar Richard Clarke, who informed him that there is already in existence a cyber equivalent of the Patriot Act, an “i-Patriot Act” if you will, and that the Justice Department is just waiting for a cyber terrorism event in order to implement its provisions.
Lessig is the founder of Stanford Law School’s Center for Internet and Society. He is founding board member of Creative Commons and is a board member of the Software Freedom Law Center. He is best known as a proponent of reduced legal restrictions on copyright, trademark and radio frequency spectrum, particularly in technology applications.
These are clearly not the ravings of some paranoid cyber geek.
Though Richard Clarke advocates an enhancement of cyber security, even he has stated that it would be a terrible idea to allow the government to regulate and filter the internet.
We have also recently seen multiple mock attacks conducted by the government, via private outsourcing, on it’s own infrastructure systems. On such exercise, called “We Were Warned: Cyber Shockwave”, involved Former Department of Homeland Security secretary Michael Chertoff and former CIA deputy director John McLaughlin taking the roles of government leaders. CNN broadcast the entire simulation on prime time television.
Alex Jones recently discussed this issue on Russia Today news programming:
Journalist Webster Tarpley also lays out the hyping of cyber threats as a pretext to takedown the internet:
This site is all about exposing potential false flag attacks first and foremost. Everything else I write about is secondary and should be taken as such. It now appears that a major terrorist attack will be the only thing to save President Obama if you believe former Bill Clinton officials, so I bet Rahm is hatching up something. Neverthless, Remixx World! stands by its prediction that the next major false flag will be attempted in cyberspace.
“The bottom line here is that Americans don’t believe in President Obama’s leadership,” says Rob Shapiro, another former Clinton official and a supporter of Mr Obama. “He has to find some way between now and November of demonstrating that he is a leader who can command confidence and, short of a 9/11 event or an Oklahoma City bombing, I can’t think of how he could do that.”
The U.S. government will lift a city ban on trucks carrying hazardous materials downtown during the daytime, starting later this week.
But under a gentleman’s agreement between the city and a trade group, the truckers will limit their use to Cross Street, instead of the heavily residential Commercial Street in the North End.
A gentleman's agreement? Is the government seriously discussing gentleman's agreements in 2010? That is equally ridiculous, because now the hazardous materials ban is lifted, it will be easier for terrorists, operatives or other evil doers to transport hazardous materials into the city during peak times. And that is not a good thing. Remixx World! previously reported in August, 2009 that Boston could be a false flag target (Is the Globalist N.W.O. Setting Up Boston for a False Flag Terrorist?). Let's hope I'm wrong.
Why, you may ask? It mainly relates to the various connections between Boston, PTech, 9/11, Special Agent Warren Bamford and Mayor Tom Menino.
Why would Special Agent Bamford issue such a warning? Does he know something that we do not know? Could he be trying to warn Boston about a possible false flag terrorist attack similar to how FBI agents tried to warn people prior to 9/11?.
On June 17, 2010, the Illinois National Guard will be conducting a simulated chemical explosion at Nalco's Chicago, Illinois facility. Let's hope that this drill does not go live.
Multiple areas of Chicago will be used for a five-day training exercise, some road closures
SPRINGFIELD- More than 50 local, state, federal and private agencies will take part in a major week-long domestic emergency response exercise testing their ability to respond to multiple disasters in the Chicago area.
Illinois Prairie North 2010, which is a part of the Vigilant Guard series, will run from Sunday, June 13, to Thursday, June 17. This joint training exercise is designed to test civilian and military responses and coordination should multiple incidents occur throughout Illinois. It is a full-scale exercise, so residents can expect to see emergency responders looking and acting as if this was a real homeland security/domestic response mission.
This realistic training exercise is necessary to ensure that Illinois is prepared to protect the public from, and mitigate the consequences of, an act of terrorism or other major disaster. All the different agencies are expected to learn valuable lessons on how to best work together if or when a real disaster should befall the area.
“This is what we call ‘training as we fight,’” said Maj. Gen. William L. Enyart, the Adjutant General of the Illinois National Guard. “In a real disaster, all of these agencies would play an important role. We owe it to the people of Illinois to learn to work together to respond in the most effective and efficient way possible.”
Illinois National Guard members from throughout the state helped plan the exercise along with their domestic emergency response partners. Three “table-top” exercises were conducted prior to the full-scale exercise.
On Sunday, June 13, the exercise will begin with a simulated commercial airplane crash on its way to Midway Airport. The simulated plane crash will occur in the downtown area of Oak Lawn. There will be multiple local agencies responding to the simulated crash, with debris and mass casualties scattered throughout the area.
Toyota Park in Bridgeview will be the staging area for the Illinois Army and Air National Guard, where they will have their accommodations and park their vehicles starting Monday, June 14. The Salvation Army in Elk Grove Village will be the area command center for the exercise. The area command is where all command-related activities will occur. The Office of Emergency Management of Chicago (OEMC) will be practicing setting up a remote command center at Soldier Field to manage the resources needed to respond to the large-scale event within the Chicago area.
On Tuesday, June 15, there will be a simulated meth lab takedown on Green and York Streets in Bensenville. The Illinois National Guard’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, High-Yield Explosives (CBRNE) Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP) and the 5th Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team (CST) will be responding to the call along with multiple local agencies. There will be a suspected dispersion device with traces to a meth lab in the area.
Wednesday, June 16, will involve multiple locations. The Bensenville area will be restricted to only those with approved credentials. Within the area, there will be numerous simulated terrorist attacks to include tactical takedowns of suspected terrorists by the Illinois’ Tactical Response Team, simulated building collapses with trapped victims, high angle and structural collapse rescue, mass decontamination and medical care by the Illinois National Guard CERFP and 5th CST. Another location will be at Rush University Medical Center. Rush medical staff and the Illinois National Guard Soldiers and Airmen will receive suspected biological agent patients to decontaminate and medically evaluate.
There will also be a press conference at Rush University Medical Center regarding Homeland Security response at 1 p.m., June 16.
On Wednesday evening the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) will have a rail car evacuation swat incident on 15th and Clark Streets in Chicago. Multiple local agencies will be involved in this scenario. Chicago Police Department will be on heightened security as a K-9 unit detects simulated explosives manufactured by a terrorist group on a CTA train. A simulated explosion will cause possible contamination requiring police, search and rescue teams, hazardous materials teams and fire response. This is expected to happen from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday. There will be some road closing during this timeframe.
On Thursday, June 17, there are two situations planned. There will be another takedown situation in the Bensenville area and also a simulated chemical explosion at Nalco in Chicago. Multiple local agencies will be responding to the Bensenville area and the Illinois National Guard’s CERFP and 5th CST will be responding to the Nalco explosion.
Be aware of road closures and detours during these exercise events.

It seems that I am not the only one predicting some type of false flag attack in the next few weeks. Veterans Today is now saying the same thing.
Rumors of an upcoming terror attack to be blamed on Iran are moving around the world, “backchannel chatter.” The primary suspect is Israel who is said to have a number of small “suitcase” type nuclear weapons, some primarily “dirty bombs,” possibly supplied secretly by a previous US administration. These devices are in the “40 ton” range, highly radioactive, extremely small and can be engineered to leave the signature of a primitive device. They were originally designed for use against Soviet armor and troop concentrations in Europe if a massed attack on NATO were to occur. Current conventional systems have made this type of weapon obsolete.
UPDATE - July 21, 2010 - If you are looking for the full interview, then you are out of luck. I emailed CBS News requesting a copy of the full interview, but CBS responded by saying it could not release the full video due to copyright issues.
The bill has been read twice by the Senate and is currently referred to the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
Lately, the government and media are certainly hyping up the domestic and homegrown terrorists as being the country's biggest threats. The bad guys are no longer allegedly in Afghanistan's caves. Instead, the media tells us the the violence may come from that guy in the next door office cubicle who's a loner, protests the government at rallies on the weekends and doesn't take the vaccines. This guy is a potentially bigger threat to America than Al-Qaeda - especially under this H.R. 1955, because he's a potential homegrown terrorist.
Violent radicalization? An extremist belief system? Facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious or social change? What the h*ll do those terms mean? This bill's language appears to be quite specific, but it is actually quite vague and ambiguous. Anyone protesting anything related to the government could be considered a homegrown terrorist. If some type of domestic false flag happens in the next few weeks that can be pinned on the truth movement and infowarriors, you can bet that this bill will be passed with the quickness of the PATRIOT Act's passage.
SUMMARY AS OF: October 23, 2007 -- Passed House amended.
Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 - Amends the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to add a new section concerning the prevention of violent radicalization (an extremist belief system for facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change) and homegrown terrorism (violence by a group or individual within the United States to coerce the U.S. government, the civilian population, or a segment thereof in furtherance of political or social objectives).
Establishes within the legislative branch the National Commission on the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism to: (1) examine and report on facts and causes of violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism, and ideologically based violence in the United States; and (2) build upon, bring together, and avoid unnecessary duplication of related work done by other entities toward such goal. Requires: (1) interim reports and a final report from the Commission to the President and Congress on its findings and recommendations; (2) the public availability of such reports; and (3) Commission termination 30 days after its final report.
Directs the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish or designate a university-based Center of Excellence for the Study of Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism in the United States to assist federal, state, local, and tribal homeland security officials, through training, education, and research, in preventing violent radicalization and homegrown terrorism in the United States. Requires the Secretary to: (1) conduct a survey of methodologies implemented by foreign nations to prevent violent radicalization and homegrown terrorism; and (2) report to Congress on lessons learned from survey results.
Prohibits Department of Homeland Security (DHS) efforts to prevent ideologically based violence and homegrown terrorism from violating the constitutional and civil rights or civil liberties of U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents. Directs the: (1) Secretary to ensure that activities and operations are in compliance with DHS's commitment to racial neutrality; and (2) DHS Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Officer to develop and implement an auditing system to ensure that compliance does not violate the constitutional and civil rights or civil liberties of any racial, ethnic, or religious group, and to include audit results in its annual report to Congress.
The first drill this weekend will take place at 1 a.m. Sunday (March 28, 2010) when the agency simulates an explosure explosion on a rail car in the tunnel between Foggy Bottom and Rosslyn stations. According to a press release, "emergency personnel will be responding to the incident to find a scene representative of hundreds of injured passengers and multiple fatalities."
Metro said the system will remain open during the exercise. After 11 p.m., Blue Line trains will share one track between Foggy Bottom and Arlington, and Orange Line trains will share one track between Foggy Bottom and Court House. Riders using the Rosslyn Station should expect to see "numerous police, fire and emergency response vehicles, first responders and volunteer 'victims,'" Metro said.
A second drill will take place at 10 a.m. March 29 in the parking lot at RFK Stadium. The exercise will simulate an explosion on a bus, "discovery of a second explosive on a bus in a garage," and reports of other explosives on other buses. Metro said activity will take place between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Participating agencies include: police, fire and emergency medical services departments from Arlington County, Alexandria, the District, Fairfax County, Prince George's County, Montgomery County, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the American Red Cross.
The exercises are being paid for through a $1.2 million Homeland Security grant.
Remixx World! has to always ask the questions that the mainstream media won't ask for whatever reason, and this story is no different. Upon initial glance, there are already numerous things I have to do some further research on to determine if there is some meat to this theory that there is more than meets the eye.
The picture above is eyewitness Megan Riley and the full video can be found at this link. In the video, Ms. Riley mentions how there was a Hazmet unit in the immediate vicinity of the plane crash. For further analysis of this video and other occurrences, you can read the Prison Planet forums where a lot of this information may also be found.
Why were there Hazmat units in the area? Coincidence? Also, Infowars is reporting that the FBI's office in Dallas had advance warning of an attack in Austin. Something is definitely a brewing down in Texas and I doubt that it will be mainstream media's cup of tea. Take a look at the two below pictures. Could this small plane cause this much damage?
Because Mr. Stack used a private airplane, I guess the TSA will now start regulating private airplane use, and then what will the TSA regulate next? Our automobiles and trucks?
I will certainly add more to this post as I am able to verify the information and sources.
Ten months ago and repeatedly over that Remixx World! has focused on articles about the H1N1 "swine flu" and cyberattacks, because it is my belief that we will soon some type of cyberattack 9/11 false flag attack that will lead to some type of iPatriot Act that will eliminate the Internet as we currently know it.
2009 was about the H1N1 "swine flu" and 2010 is gearing up to be about cyber attacks. From the Chinese attacks on Google and other companies to the military creating cyber commands, there is a lot happening in this realm. Check out the upcoming cyber attack on the United States on February 16, 2010 called Cyber ShockWave 2010.
WASHINGTON, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) announced today that it will host Cyber ShockWave, a simulated cyber attack on the United States. Cyber ShockWave will provide an unprecedented look at how the government would develop a response to a cyber crisis. Cyber ShockWave will take place on February 16, 2010, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C.
The Cyber ShockWave simulation, created by former CIA Director General Michael Hayden and the BPC's National Security Preparedness Group, led by the co-chairs of the 9/11 Commission, Governor Thomas Kean and Congressman Lee Hamilton, follows the acclaimed series of Oil ShockWave simulations conducted in 2007 by the BPC and Securing America's Future Energy (SAFE). Oil ShockWave addressed dependence on foreign oil as a national security threat.
Cyber ShockWave, developed in partnership with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, SMobile Systems, Southern Company and Georgetown University, will highlight the immediate, real dangers of cyber-terrorism by bringing together a bipartisan group of former senior administration and national security officials playing the roles of Cabinet members. The participants, whose mission is to advise the president and mount a response to the attack, will not know the scenario in advance. They will react to the threat in real time, as intelligence and news reports drive the simulation, shedding light on how the difficult split-second decisions must be made to respond to an unfolding and often unseen threat.
Following the simulation, there will be a post-event discussion with the participants and partners to discuss what the U.S. government can do to avoid a real-world cyber attack of this magnitude and what can be learned from the exercise.
Former senior administration officials and national security experts participating include:
Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff as National Security Advisor
Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte as Secretary of State
White House Homeland Security Advisor Fran Townsend as Secretary of Homeland Security
Director of Central Intelligence John McLaughlin as Director of National Intelligence
Senator Bennett Johnston as Secretary of Energy
Director of the National Economic Council Stephen Friedman as Secretary of Treasury
Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick as Attorney General
White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart as Counselor to the President
General Counsel of the National Security Agency Stewart Baker as Cyber Coordinator
Cyber ShockWave is sponsored by General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, SMobile Systems, Southern Company and Georgetown University.
About the Bipartisan Policy Center
In 2007, former U.S. Senate Majority Leaders Howard Baker, Tom Daschle, Bob Dole, and George Mitchell formed the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) to develop and promote solutions that can attract the public support and political momentum to achieve real progress. The BPC acts as an incubator for policy efforts that engage top political figures, advocates, academics, and business leaders in the art of principled compromise. The reported disappearance of 1 to 2 tons of a potentially explosive material involved a clerical error and not theft, officials at a Canadian firm said.
Officials at Kinder Morgan's chemical storage facility reported Dec. 31 the ammonium nitrate vanished during the transport of 6,000 tons of it from Alberta to Vancouver last fall.
Company officials now say a clerical error was made and no theft occurred, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Saturday.
Check out the video above, because it has a detailed analysis on this subject of the current Canadian Parliament suspension. I do not like trying to predict dates out into the future, but let's keep our eyes on the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver for any suspicious activity. What happens in Canada if there is a false flag attack (or legitimate terrorist attack) during the Olympics while the Canadian Parliament is suspended?
The Canadian government will suspend Parliament until early March, a spokesman said on Wednesday, giving it political advantages but bringing an angry backlash from a sidelined opposition.
Dimitri Soudas, spokesman for Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper, said the government would present a new policy speech on March 3, and a new federal budget the following day.
Since China’s current cyber operations capability is so advanced, it can engage in forms of cyber warfare so sophisticated that the United States may be unable to counteract or even detect the efforts.
Knowing we have cyber vulnerabilities, our government should be immediately shoring up these weaknesses and improving our capabilities to defend against such attacks. However, it is more than likely that certain unknown elements will use our weaknesses to allow an i-9/11 event to occur, which will further restrict our freedoms and individual liberties. Because when a deadly cyberattack is combined with the flu pandemic, this event will lead to physical and virtual martial law both in the real world and on the Internet.
How many vague descriptions can one document have? If you do paintball, then you may be considered a potential terrorist by the FBI. I would imagine that many people would be considered suspects or suspicious under this document. After an exhaustive list of different things showing why someone would be suspicious by being different from the norm, the document further says at the end that someone is not suspicious just because he/she is different.
Protecting the Navy's networks is near the top of its to-do list. "We must find ways to enable the innovative use of information management and IT to meet the needs of the warfighter, while continuing to provide secure and reliable networks to defend our cyber investments and information," Navy CIO Robert Carey said in a letter outlining the goals.
The Navy plans to extend public key protection to mobile devices, encrypt stored data, phase out the use of user names and passwords as log-ins to unclassified networks, and reduce the amount of personally identifiable information it stores. It has set a goal of reducing personally identifiable data breaches by 25%.
The UN is laying out the upcoming agenda like a corporation at the annual meeting. In the latest scoop from the United Nations, its Telecommunications Agency Chief (and don't call me Chief) Hamadoun Toure is predicting that our next world war battlefield won't be some remote desert in the Middle East or jungle in Southeast Asia, but instead, it will occur in the digital realm where Neo and Agent Smith fight their endless battles. The next World War will occur in the cyberspace world.
"The next world war could happen in cyberspace and that would be a catastrophe. We have to make sure that all countries understand that in that war, there is no such thing as a superpower," Hamadoun Toure said.
"Loss of vital networks would quickly cripple any nation, and none is immune to cyberattack," added the secretary-general of the International Telecommunications Union during the ITU's Telecom World 2009 fair in Geneva.
