The government is sounding the trumpets and putting out stories about how vulnerable the world is to cyberattacks. In some sense, it is very true. As one of our top military people said a few years ago, China's cyber-capabilities are more advanced than our cyber-capability.
Knowing we have cyber vulnerabilities, our government should be immediately shoring up these weaknesses and improving our capabilities to defend against such attacks. However, it is more than likely that certain unknown elements will use our weaknesses to allow an i-9/11 event to occur, which will further restrict our freedoms and individual liberties. Because when a deadly cyberattack is combined with the flu pandemic, this event will lead to physical and virtual martial law both in the real world and on the Internet.

Since China’s current cyber operations capability is so advanced, it can engage in forms of cyber warfare so sophisticated that the United States may be unable to counteract or even detect the efforts.
