I wonder if the United States of America will honor Britain's Queen and give us an extra bank holiday. Considering the number of banks that have closed in America over the last year, we might be headed for a bank holiday too, except our bank holiday will not be celebratory.

Workers are to be given an extra bank holiday in 2012 to celebrate the Queen's diamond jubilee, it was confirmed today . Tuesday 5 June has been picked as the additional day off marking the monarch's 60 years on the throne, Lord Mandelson, the business secretary, told the House of Lords.

Montana Governor Dave Freudenthal Proposes $3 Per Megawatt Hour Excise Tax to Regulate Wind Energy Industry

It is no surprise that Montana Governor Dave Freudenthal is proposing a wind excise tax. There is no way that the government is going to let someone have free energy. Does everything under the sun have to be taxed?

In this case, it is a tax against companies in the industry and I do not know if the proposed wind excise tax will be applicable to individuals who may use wind turbines and solar power systems to generate electricity for their homes and businesses. If this wind excise tax becomes law, then there will be other jurisdictions that will take things further and attempt to impose taxes on solar panels and wind turbines on individuals who are completely off of the electrical grid.

Gov. Dave Freudenthal is pushing several bills to regulate the wind energy industry. Chief among them are a $3 per megawatt hour excise tax, and a temporary suspension of eminent domain powers to “merchant” energy companies that want to connect wind turbines to the electrical grid.

Iran Says It Will Deliver Harsh Blow to Global Western Powers on February 11 During Islamic Revolution Anniversary

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the nation will deliver a harsh blow to the "global arrogance" on this year's anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

"The Islamic Revolution opened a window to liberty for the human race, which was trapped in the dead ends of materialism," Ahmadinejad said during a cabinet meeting on Sunday.

And it is not just limited to Ahmadinejad. The Nation's supreme ruler is saying the same thing.

Iran’s supreme leader said the country will deliver a ‘punch’ that will stun the West to mark tomorrow’s 31st anniversary of its Islamic Revolution.

In an address to air force leaders, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said: ‘The Iranian nation, with its unity and God’s grace, will punch the arrogance [Western powers] on the 22nd of Bahman [February 11] in a way that will leave them stunned.'

My prediction is that Iran will do something with its monetary system (i.e., such as switching from a U.S. dollar basis to some other currency). Or Iran will try to launch a missile. Or Iran may even say that it has a nuclear (nookular) bomb. We shall see.

Genetically Engineered Tobacco Plants Can Be Used to Grow Solar Cells Says University of California Scientists

Like something out of a crazy science fiction movie, the technology that is announced on a daily basis is quite astonishing. If it's not lightning control or energy teleportation, it is some type of genetic modification. This time the genetic modification holds the potential to alter the world's energy distribution system -- provided the modification is successful. Namely, scientists have discovered how to grow solar cells from tobacco plants!

Tobacco plants could help wean the world from fossil fuels, according to scientists from the University of California, Berkeley.

In a paper in the journal ACS Nano Letters, Matt Francis and his colleagues used genetically engineered bacteria to produce the building blocks for artificial photovoltaic and photochemical cells. The technique could be more environmentally friendly than traditional methods of making solar cells and could lead to cheap, temporary and biodegradable solar cells.

BOGOTA – The forest fire affecting an enormous mountainous area in the northeastern Colombian province of Boyaca since last week is now threatening the Iguaque nature reserve, emergency management officials said on Sunday.

More than 1,200 hectares (3,000 acres) of native forest have been destroyed by the fire, 800 of them in the Iguaque flora and fauna sanctuary, in the jurisdiction of the municipalities of Villa de Leyva and Chiquiza, some 180 kilometers (112 miles) northeast of Bogota.

About 500 people, including firefighters, soldiers, police, emergency management office and Red Cross personnel, volunteers and Indians are working on the task of putting out the flames, which in some spots are more than 10 meters (32.5 feet) high.

Corruption and Fraud Plague European Union Carbon Cap and Trade System

This is one reason why this country does not need a national carbon cap-and-trade market system. The New York Times is reporting that the EU's cap and trade market has been besieged by fraud, including a recent access code theft resulting in $4 million in losses.

Carbon trading is a system that caps the amount of carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas, that companies may emit each year. Companies exceeding their quota can buy extra certificates from those companies that succeeded in shrinking their carbon footprint by adopting environmentally friendly technology or modifying production in other ways.

How in the hell does transferring the pollution quota from company to company REDUCE overall pollution? If my company saves 500 tons of emission, then some company that polluted 500 tons more than allowed can buy my quota. The net result is still the same amount of population. All this carbon trading is nothing, but a tax on business production.

The system is the main tool used by the European Union to meet its ambitious pollution-reduction goals.

Taking away the gains made in reducing pollution through improving technologies, how has the carbon trade system actually helped to pollution?

Many economists say trading provides the most economically efficient way to reduce pollution...

Exactly. It is an easy way for the central world banks to make money.

But since the start of the system in Europe, coal-burning utilities have earned windfall profits, while the prices of credits have never been high enough for long enough to force utilities and businesses to replace conventional power with significant amounts of renewable energy or other clean sources.

Other forms of shady trades have beset the carbon markets in Europe.

This includes access code thefts and value-added taxes being added to carbon permits sold to businesses, but not paid to governments.

H1N1 "Swine Flu" Flavoring Now in Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Chips and Frozen Foods at Walgreens?

I highly doubt these products contain H1H1 "swine flu" virus or flavorings. However, you never know, because aspartame does comes from bacteria. Perhaps there is a new H1N1 sweetener. More likely, this pharmacy is anxious to sell some of the expiring H1N1 "swine flu" vaccines rotting on the shelf, so they are putting stickers on every product in an attempt to promote the shot.

Yes, as if their outdoor billboards advertising "H1N1 NOW AVAILABLE" weren't confusing enough, they've now apparently printed up stickers and started slapping them on every surface in the store with no sense whatsoever of how this could be just a bit incongruous. Nah.

I guess he is a good source for information, because he is an insider, but why would someone want to follow his advice?

Cuba Asking Citizens to Register Their Handguns (May Be Allowed to Keep Weapons if Can Pass Aptitude & Psychological Tests)

Why is Cuba suddenly wanting to let its citizens keep and own firearms? Could it have anything to do something with the thousands of American and other troops fifty (50) or so miles away from the Cuba borders in Haiti? Maybe Cuba is worried and wants to ensure that its able-minded citizens are armed in case there is a need for battle. Or maybe the government simply wants to know where the weapons are in case the weapons need to be confiscated.

Cuba has declared a two-month amnesty for citizens to register unlicensed guns, and says those passing aptitude and psychological tests will be allowed to keep their weapons.

The move is unusual in a state where almost no one except some active military personnel and plain-clothed state security agents are allowed to possess weapons...

Starting Feb. 12, Cubans will have the “exceptional and one-time only” chance to register their guns with police, and will be allowed to keep them provided they are over 18 and have passed the proper tests administered at police stations.

FLASHBACK: Did New Orleans Police Shoot & Kill Contractors on Danziger Bridge Trying to Blow Up Levees After Hurricane Katrina?

During the post-Hurricane Katrina period, I recall hearing a story where there was an alleged shoot-out between the New Orleans Police and "contractors" on the Danziger Bridge with the police killing several of the contractors. Later, when I researched the story trying to find the original account of the event, the story had been changed to one where people were shooting at the contractors and the police ended up killing those people - not the contractors.

It is quite possible that the initial story was incorrect, but this site focuses on the conspiracy theory, so there is no story here in accepting the official story - especially because there have been allegations that someone blew up the levees causing New Orleans to flood. Therefore, it is quite possible that these "contractors" were attempting to further sabotage the levees when the police served and protected the people by taking out these contractors.

Police Kill Five Contractors on La. Bridge

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Police shot eight people carrying guns on a New Orleans bridge Sunday, killing five or six, a deputy chief said. A spokesman for the Army Corps of Engineers said the victims were contractors on their way to repair a canal.

The contractors were walking across a bridge on their way to launch barges into Lake Pontchartrain to fix the 17th Street Canal, said John Hall, a spokesman for the Corps.

Earlier Sunday, New Orleans Deputy Police Chief W.J. Riley said police shot at eight people, killing five or six.

The shootings took place on the Danziger Bridge, which spans a canal connecting Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi River.

No other details were immediately available.

Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak Says Toyota Prius Accelerator Problems Caused By Software Failure

This Toyota recall issue concerning Prius accelerators has become much more than a simple and minor defect. I believe that this matter will permanently damage the Toyota brand and it could continue to get worse for the company, because Toyota may be misdiagnosing the true cause of the problem. Toyota believes that the problem is the result of a defect in the "fly-by-wire" / "drive-by-wire" electronic throttle control system. However, the co-founder of Apple Steve Wozniak does not believe it is a hardware issue. No, Wozniak believes that Toyota's problems are caused by a software failure.

Wozniak was speaking at Discovery Forum 2010 when he went off topic for a few minutes and spoke about problems with his 2010 Toyota Prius.

"I don't get upset and teed off at things in life, except computers that don't work right," was his segue into the Toyota comments. Then he said he had been trying to get through to Toyota and the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) for three months but could not get anyone to explore an alleged software-related acceleration problem--as described below.

"Toyota has this accelerator problem we've all heard about," Wozniak said. "Well, I have many models of Prius that got recalled, but I have a new model that didn't get recalled. This new model has an accelerator that goes wild, but only under certain conditions of cruise control. And I can repeat it over and over and over again--safely."

"This is software. It's not a bad accelerator pedal. It's very scary, but luckily for me, I can hit the brakes," he said.

California Bans Berkey Water Filter Systems?

As a fan of the Berkey water filter systems, it is ridiculous for California's new law to effectively ban these wonderful water filter devices. However, the State is broke, so it is doing anything it can do to increase the monies coming into the State's coffers - including requiring expensive certification tests that are not applicable to the Berkey filter devices.

Suspension of Berkey Products To California Residents Begining January 1, 2010

California, has adopted AB 1953 / SB 1334 & 1395 / HSC Section 116875. This revised “no lead law” as it’s commonly known, goes into effect January 1, 2010. The law stipulates that any “end-use device intended to convey or dispense water for human consumption through drinking or cooking,” as well as each of their individual components, materials and “pipe, pipe or plumbing fittings, or fixtures,” or flux, must be “lead free” as defined by California law. Under SB 1334, certification MUST be performed by an “independent ANSI-approved third party testing organization.” It appears that even if a product and each component of that product has no metal alloys and if a purification system actually reduces lead, under Section 116875, it must be be certified. An example of this is the Berkey sport water purification bottle; each of its components as well as raw materials utilized will have to be certified.

Research indicates that there are at least two different certification standards available, but there seems to be disagreement as to which standards will be acceptable to the state of California’s review Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), the agency in charge of reviewing products and their certification. There is further confusion regarding testing protocols. While DTSC has issued an outline, it appears that the final protocols have yet to be settled upon. Throughout Berkey Systems ongoing research on this issue, they were unable to get clarification on the above requirements, instead it was suggested that “lawyers review the wording of the law to determine” how “they interpret the scope of the mandatory certification...” in what already appears to be a muddy mess. Unfortunately, many questions being asked simply can’t be answered by the January 1st deadline and as such, “strict compliance with the law” is recommended. In addition, should Berkey Systems desire to change any of their suppliers after certification, it appears that permission must be obtained by the certifying organization and that re-certification is mandatory, all at their own expense. At the end of this letter are just a few of the requirements needed to be certified, under this revised law.

Berkey Systems will continue to monitor the situation and as they get clarification on the issues for which they currently are unable to obtain answers, they will be able to make a further determination as to whether it will be in their best interest to pursue the matter further.

Georgia Senate Passes SB 235 That Bans Forced Microchips in People (Microchip Consent Act of 2010)

It is always up to the States to fight federal tyranny, encroachment and corruption especially if the federal government ever imposes martial law during a biological pandemic and requires forced chipping of the population. If you live in the Peach State of Georgia, then you may have some protection if such an unconstitutional mandatory microchip order is ever imposed by the federal government or world agencies. The Georgia Senate has passed SB 235 which would ban mandatory chipping. The bill may be viewed HERE or below after the quoted text.

“By passing this bill, we are sending the message that Georgia is committed to upholding its citizens’ constitutional rights and protection of their person,” the bill's author, Sen. Chip Pearson (R-Dawsonville), said in a written statement. He said technology is moving fast and “we must be careful that it doesn’t come at the harm of citizens. The benefits of a microchip that can be internally implanted are also available in many external forms.”

The Senate voted 47-2 in favor of the bill.

Hopefully, the bill passes into law. Unfortunately, the punishment for this crime is only a misdemeanor which is hardly a punishment for someone injected with a chip. The punishment should be a 1st degree felony.

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To provide for a short title; to amend Article 2 of Chapter 5 of Title 16 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to assault and battery, so as to prohibit requiring a person to be implanted with a microchip; to provide for definitions; to provide for penalties; to provide for regulation by the Georgia Composite Medical Board; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
This Act shall be known as the "Microchip Consent Act of 2010."

SECTION 2.
Article 2 of Chapter 5 of Title 16 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to assault and battery, is amended by adding a new Code section to read as follows:
"16-5-23.2.
(a) As used in this Code section, the term:
(1) 'Implant' includes any means intended to introduce a microchip internally, beneath the skin, or applied to the skin of a person.
(2) 'Microchip' means any microdevice, sensor, transmitter, mechanism, electronically readable marking, or nanotechnology that is passively or actively capable of transmitting or receiving information. Such term shall not include pacemakers.
(3) 'Person' means any individual, irrespective of age, legal status, or legal capacity.
(4) 'Require' includes physical violence; threat; intimidation; retaliation; the conditioning of any private or public benefit or care on consent to implantation, including employment, promotion, or other benefit; or any means that causes a person to acquiesce to implantation when he or she otherwise would not.
(b) No person shall be required to be implanted with a microchip.
(c) Any person who implants a microchip in violation of this Code section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
(d) Any person required to have a microchip implanted in violation of this Code section may file a civil action for damages.
(e) The voluntary implantation of any microchip may only be performed by a physician and shall be regulated under the authority of the Georgia Composite Medical Board."

SECTION 3.
This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2010.

SECTION 4.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.

Japanese Physicist Discovers How to Teleport Energy!

Energy teleportation could be one of man's greatest discoveries EVER if the science is perfected. Mathematically Impossible to Pay Off United States of America's Debts!

I was a great math student in the primary grades and in college, so I am confident in my abilities to understand some figures and numbers. Even without that analytical education, it is not difficult to see that America's monetary system may not survive in its current form, because paying off the country's existing debts may be an impossibility under the Federal Reserve banking system.

Why? Short answer --> The current Federal Reserve system is really nothing more than an old-fashioned pyramid scheme where only the top players make any profits.

Congress assigns monetary rights to the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve lends money to the Treasury. The Federal Reserve also charges interest on the money it prints and lends to the Treasury, but these interest costs are NOT included in the Fed's loan money.

For example, if the Federal Reserve charges someone 10% on a loan and lends them $1, this $1 will be printed up by the Federal Reserve and added to the existing monetary supply by the Treasury. When the Fed is paid back the $1, there is no net difference in the monetary supply because the $1 printed by the Fed and placed into monetary circulation is equalized when the Treasury pays back the $1 to the Fed.

However, the additional 10 cents (10% interest) must also be paid to Federal Reserve and the Fed's $1 loan does not include this 10% interest. Because the Fed did not print up this 10% with the loan, this 10% interest must be paid from or taken from the existing monetary supply (or other assets) by the Treasury to satisfy the loan interest repayment obligations to the Fed

As more and more interest is charged, the more money that must be paid from the existing supply in circulation -- until eventually, there will be no money left and the Federal Reserve will hold all the money in the world!

So why doesn't the U.S. government just fire up the printing presses and print a bunch of money to pay off the debt?

Well, for one very simple reason.

That is not the way our system works.

You see, for more dollars to enter the system, the U.S. government has to go into more debt.

The U.S. government does not issue U.S. currency - the Federal Reserve does.

The Federal Reserve is a private bank owned and operated for profit by a very powerful group of elite international bankers.

If you will pull a dollar bill out and take a look at it, you will notice that it says "Federal Reserve Note" at the top.

It belongs to the Federal Reserve.

The U.S. government cannot simply go out and create new money whenever it wants under our current system.

Instead, it must get it from the Federal Reserve.

So, when the U.S. government needs to borrow more money (which happens a lot these days) it goes over to the Federal Reserve and asks them for some more green pieces of paper called Federal Reserve Notes.

The Federal Reserve swaps these green pieces of paper for pink pieces of paper called U.S. Treasury bonds. The Federal Reserve either sells these U.S. Treasury bonds or they keep the bonds for themselves (which happens a lot these days).

So that is how the U.S. government gets more green pieces of paper called "U.S. dollars" to put into circulation. But by doing so, they get themselves into even more debt which they will owe even more interest on.

So every time the U.S. government does this, the national debt gets even bigger and the interest on that debt gets even bigger.

Air Force Opens $154,000 G5 LaserWash at Patrick AFB with Space Command Non-Appropriated Fund Grant

1/29/2010 - Jan. 12, 2010 -- Col. Charles Beck, commander, 45th Mission Support Group, presided over the grand opening of the new Base Car Wash at a ribbon cutting ceremony last Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m.

The totally new touch-free car washing system ­ a G5 LaserWash, is made possible by a $154,000 Air Force Space Command Non-Appropriated Fund Grant.

The new system is able to wash every type of vehicle, as it does not require a floor treadle to activate the wash cycle and there are no side rails.

New signage is customer friendly and eliminates confusion, making the system much easier to use.

"Patrons will be able to use their MasterCard or VISA credit and debit cards at the upgraded facility," said Ms. Nancy Wilberg, 45th Force Support Squadron's Arts & Crafts Director, who is responsible for the car wash facility.

"Even if you do not have any cash on hand, you can still get a great wash for your privately owned, government or NAF vehicle. GSA vehicle operators can use the WEX card on the G5 LaserWash side."

The cost to use the G5 LaserWash is very reasonable. Patrons can opt for a $5, $6 or a $7 top of the line wash ­ prices that are substantially lower than comparable off-base car wash facilities. For details about the upgraded facility, call Ms. Wilberg at 494-4270.
