UN Climate Summit Leader Christiana Figueres Prays to Mayan Moon Goddess Ixchel

This is why United States tax dollars should never be sent to the United Nations. Christiana Figueres, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change recently prayed to the Maya Moon Goddess in her opening statement.

Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to COP16, welcome to CMP6! Welcome to the land of the ancient Mayan goddess
Ixchel!

Next to being the goddess of the moon, Ixchel was also the goddess of reason, creativity and weaving. May she inspire you - because today, you are gathered in CancĂșn to weave together the elements of a solid response to climate change, using both reason and creativity as your tools.

I do not care if Ms. Figueres idolizes Ixchel in her spare time, but she needs to keep her fictional characters to herself especially in when she is in a official capacity. Ms. Figueres, you are an idiot!

Schwarzenegger to Host Governor's Climate Change & Global Warming Summit at UC-Davis This Month

Let me read through the below press release. I'll write more later if there is anything of relevance. I cannot pull this press release from the official page of the Governors’ Global Climate Summit 3: Building the Green Economy, but I was able to find a Yahoo cache and it is linked below. Therefore, the press release may have been retracted by the Governor's office. I have not confirmed it one way or the other.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Gov. Schwarzenegger Announces Worldwide Leaders Will Come Together at Governors’ Global Climate Summit 3

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced many prominent leaders from around the world will participate in the Governors’ Global Climate Summit 3: Building the Green Economy to be held on Monday, November 15 and Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis). The Governor today welcomed an impressive line-up of participants and speakers, which include award-winning producer and director James Cameron, actor Harrison Ford, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Nobel Prize winner Dr. Rajendra Pachauri and British Columbia Premier Gordon Campbell.

“I’m proud that we can bring together world-renowned leaders to collaborate on such important issues that affect us all. There is no better way to address the devastating affect that climate change has on our environment and our economy than by building these partnerships around the globe and influencing the global climate movement,” said Governor Schwarzenegger.

Governor Schwarzenegger also announced the Summit co-hosts: Michigan Governor Jennifer M. Granholm; Washington Governor Chris Gregoire; Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle; and Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski. Among many other notable participants, Governor Gwendolyn Garcia of Cebu, Philippines; Vice Governor He Duanqi of Yunnan, China; Director General Gao Guangsheng of the Climate Division of the National Development Reform Commission in China; Ambassador Richard Jones, Deputy Director of the International Energy Agency in Paris, France; Pavan Sukhdev, Head of the Green Economy Initiative, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP); Governor Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan of Delta State, Nigeria; and Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson will also join the Summit’s events.

Co-hosted by Governor Schwarzenegger, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme and UNEP and co-sponsored by UC Davis, this year’s summit will continue to expand the network of subnational collaboration to share policies and strategies on how to stimulate economic growth, reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, create green jobs, promote clean energy solutions and reduce greenhouse gas pollution. Participants will work to deepen and broaden cooperative efforts to grow green economies and implement emissions reduction strategies.

“UNEP is pleased to join forces with the state of California on the Governors’ Global Climate Summit 3. We are particularly delighted that the Governor has chosen to focus the Summit on Building the Green Economy, as this is an issue which UNEP is promoting around the globe,” said UNEP Regional Office for North America Director Amy Fraenkel.

For years, Governor Schwarzenegger has worked to bring world leaders together at all levels of government to partner on ways to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create a healthier environment and build green economies. Last year, the Governor and United Nations officials welcomed more than 1,200 attendees from more than 70 states, provinces and countries to the Governors’ Global Climate Summit 2 in Los Angeles and, this year, is promising the same world renowned leaders with efforts focused on green economies that benefit both developed and developing countries.

The Governors’ summits have helped provide a platform for states and provinces to partner to reduce emissions, grow their green economies and influence their national governments towards the same goal. The past climate summits brought together international leaders committed to reducing greenhouse gases from deforestation, international offset projects and global collaboration with nations such as China, which just launched its first voluntary carbon registry. The world is now taking notice of the important role for provinces and states in fighting global warming. This year’s summit will also provide subnational leaders the opportunity to influence the position of their national governments in advance of the United Nations COP 16 in Cancun in December.

The Governors’ Global Climate Summit 3 will take place at UC Davis to take advantage of the university’s long history of world-class research and development in environmental sustainability and green jobs. UC Davis Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi will also participate in the Summit’s opening ceremony on Monday, November 15.

Additional information on the events at the Governors’ Global Climate Summit 3, including media credentialing information, is available at www.ggcs3.org. For more information and registration, visit the website or contact ggcs@calepa.ca.gov.

Emeritus Professor Resigns from American Physical Society Over Global Warming Scam

Add this professor to the growing number of scientists who are coming out against the global warming scam. Check out his resignation letter below. As an alum of UC-Santa Barbara, I give props to this professor.

###

Hal Lewis: My Resignation From The American Physical Society
Friday, 08 October 2010 17:19 Hal Lewis

From: Hal Lewis, University of California, Santa Barbara

To: Curtis G. Callan, Jr., Princeton University, President of the American Physical Society

6 October 2010

Dear Curt:

When I first joined the American Physical Society sixty-seven years ago it was much smaller, much gentler, and as yet uncorrupted by the money flood (a threat against which Dwight Eisenhower warned a half-century ago). Indeed, the choice of physics as a profession was then a guarantor of a life of poverty and abstinence---it was World War II that changed all that. The prospect of worldly gain drove few physicists. As recently as thirty-five years ago, when I chaired the first APS study of a contentious social/scientific issue, The Reactor Safety Study, though there were zealots aplenty on the outside there was no hint of inordinate pressure on us as physicists. We were therefore able to produce what I believe was and is an honest appraisal of the situation at that time. We were further enabled by the presence of an oversight committee consisting of Pief Panofsky, Vicki Weisskopf, and Hans Bethe, all towering physicists beyond reproach. I was proud of what we did in a charged atmosphere. In the end the oversight committee, in its report to the APS President, noted the complete independence in which we did the job, and predicted that the report would be attacked from both sides. What greater tribute could there be?

How different it is now. The giants no longer walk the earth, and the money flood has become the raison d'ĂȘtre of much physics research, the vital sustenance of much more, and it provides the support for untold numbers of professional jobs. For reasons that will soon become clear my former pride at being an APS Fellow all these years has been turned into shame, and I am forced, with no pleasure at all, to offer you my resignation from the Society.

It is of course, the global warming scam, with the (literally) trillions of dollars driving it, that has corrupted so many scientists, and has carried APS before it like a rogue wave. It is the greatest and most successful pseudoscientific fraud I have seen in my long life as a physicist. Anyone who has the faintest doubt that this is so should force himself to read the ClimateGate documents, which lay it bare. (Montford's book organizes the facts very well.) I don't believe that any real physicist, nay scientist, can read that stuff without revulsion. I would almost make that revulsion a definition of the word scientist.

So what has the APS, as an organization, done in the face of this challenge? It has accepted the corruption as the norm, and gone along with it. For example:

1. About a year ago a few of us sent an e-mail on the subject to a fraction of the membership. APS ignored the issues, but the then President immediately launched a hostile investigation of where we got the e-mail addresses. In its better days, APS used to encourage discussion of important issues, and indeed the Constitution cites that as its principal purpose. No more. Everything that has been done in the last year has been designed to silence debate

2. The appallingly tendentious APS statement on Climate Change was apparently written in a hurry by a few people over lunch, and is certainly not representative of the talents of APS members as I have long known them. So a few of us petitioned the Council to reconsider it. One of the outstanding marks of (in)distinction in the Statement was the poison word incontrovertible, which describes few items in physics, certainly not this one. In response APS appointed a secret committee that never met, never troubled to speak to any skeptics, yet endorsed the Statement in its entirety. (They did admit that the tone was a bit strong, but amazingly kept the poison word incontrovertible to describe the evidence, a position supported by no one.) In the end, the Council kept the original statement, word for word, but approved a far longer "explanatory" screed, admitting that there were uncertainties, but brushing them aside to give blanket approval to the original. The original Statement, which still stands as the APS position, also contains what I consider pompous and asinine advice to all world governments, as if the APS were master of the universe. It is not, and I am embarrassed that our leaders seem to think it is. This is not fun and games, these are serious matters involving vast fractions of our national substance, and the reputation of the Society as a scientific society is at stake.

3. In the interim the ClimateGate scandal broke into the news, and the machinations of the principal alarmists were revealed to the world. It was a fraud on a scale I have never seen, and I lack the words to describe its enormity. Effect on the APS position: none. None at all. This is not science; other forces are at work.

4. So a few of us tried to bring science into the act (that is, after all, the alleged and historic purpose of APS), and collected the necessary 200+ signatures to bring to the Council a proposal for a Topical Group on Climate Science, thinking that open discussion of the scientific issues, in the best tradition of physics, would be beneficial to all, and also a contribution to the nation. I might note that it was not easy to collect the signatures, since you denied us the use of the APS membership list. We conformed in every way with the requirements of the APS Constitution, and described in great detail what we had in mind---simply to bring the subject into the open.

5. To our amazement, Constitution be damned, you declined to accept our petition, but instead used your own control of the mailing list to run a poll on the members' interest in a TG on Climate and the Environment. You did ask the members if they would sign a petition to form a TG on your yet-to-be-defined subject, but provided no petition, and got lots of affirmative responses. (If you had asked about sex you would have gotten more expressions of interest.) There was of course no such petition or proposal, and you have now dropped the Environment part, so the whole matter is moot. (Any lawyer will tell you that you cannot collect signatures on a vague petition, and then fill in whatever you like.) The entire purpose of this exercise was to avoid your constitutional responsibility to take our petition to the Council.

6. As of now you have formed still another secret and stacked committee to organize your own TG, simply ignoring our lawful petition.

APS management has gamed the problem from the beginning, to suppress serious conversation about the merits of the climate change claims. Do you wonder that I have lost confidence in the organization?

I do feel the need to add one note, and this is conjecture, since it is always risky to discuss other people's motives. This scheming at APS HQ is so bizarre that there cannot be a simple explanation for it. Some have held that the physicists of today are not as smart as they used to be, but I don't think that is an issue. I think it is the money, exactly what Eisenhower warned about a half-century ago. There are indeed trillions of dollars involved, to say nothing of the fame and glory (and frequent trips to exotic islands) that go with being a member of the club. Your own Physics Department (of which you are chairman) would lose millions a year if the global warming bubble burst. When Penn State absolved Mike Mann of wrongdoing, and the University of East Anglia did the same for Phil Jones, they cannot have been unaware of the financial penalty for doing otherwise. As the old saying goes, you don't have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing. Since I am no philosopher, I'm not going to explore at just which point enlightened self-interest crosses the line into corruption, but a careful reading of the ClimateGate releases makes it clear that this is not an academic question.

I want no part of it, so please accept my resignation. APS no longer represents me, but I hope we are still friends.

BP Oil Spill Reportedly Has Caused Destruction of Gulf Loop Current (If So, Will Global Climate Change Occur?)

OilSpill-CNR 2

When Deepwater Horizon first exploded and went to the bottom of the sea, I recall reading comments and articles from various people in cyberspace who said the millions of gallons of spilled oil in the Gulf of Mexico would potentially affect currents, weather and the motion in the ocean, including destruction of the Loop Current and Gulf Stream currents that provide warmth to Europe and the United Kingdom. Yes, I know this sounds like the plot to The Day After Tomorrow, but this isn't a Hollywood blockbuster. While it is not confirmed that the Loop Current has been destroyed, these past pictures depict a Loop Current that is not moving normally.

The above information that shows the broken Loop Current may be a natural occurrence that will eventually correct itself, but according to the report, the Loop Current is destroyed. I will need to review the latest images to see if the Current has reactivated, because the images in the above document are from May-June 2010.

Russian Scholar Warns that U.S. HAARP Device May Have Caused Russian Heatwave & Fires

A few years ago I would have dismissed this case as complete propaganda nonsense. However, the more information I learn about HAARP, the more I believe that anything is possible. Therefore, this story is not surprising. A Russian scholar blames HAARP for Russia's recent climate tragedies.

As Muscovites suffer record high temperatures this summer, a Russian political scientist has claimed the United States may be using climate-change weapons to alter the temperatures and crop yields of Russia and other Central Asian countries.

World's Largest Concentrated Solar Power Plant Currently Being Built in Abu Dhabi Is Called Shams 1 (100 Megawatt Capacity)

I love you Governor Jan Brewer for your recent states' rights position against the federal government. Now that you are on a roll, why don't you build another one of these megawatt solar power station facilities in a sunny, desolate part of Arizona where you can generate millions of watts of power? New Mexico is getting a solar power plant. Governor Brewer, you need to get a solar power plant too unless there is a requirement to be a part of the United Nations' Clean Development Mechanism to get one.

Solar power is not just limited to the American States. In the Middle East, Abu Dhubi will soon have the largest concentrated solar power plant in the world, one with the capacity to generate 100 megawatts of power. This plant will be a part of the U.N. CDM that I mentioned above. Masdar, Total and Abengoa Solar are building the facility. The official press release is below.

###

Masdar Partners with Total and Abengoa Solar

Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s multi-faceted initiative advancing the development, commercialisation and deployment of renewable and alternative energy technologies and solutions, has appointed the bidding consortium of Total and Abengoa Solar as a partner to own, build and operate Shams 1, the world’s largest concentrated solar power plant and the first of its kind in the Middle East.

One of Masdar’s flagship projects, Shams 1 will directly contribute towards Abu Dhabi’s target of achieving 7% renewable energy power generation capacity by the year 2020.

The joint venture between Masdar (60%), Total (20%) and Abengoa Solar (20%) will develop, build, operate and maintain the plant which will be located in Madinat Zayed, approximately 120 kilometres southwest of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Shams 1 will be the largest concentrated solar power plant in the world, extending over an area of 2.5 km², with a capacity of approximately 100 MW and a solar field consisting of 768 parabolic trough collectors to be supplied by Abengoa Solar. Construction is set to begin during Q3 2010 and is expected to take approximately two years.

Commenting on the announcement, Dr. Sultan Al-Jaber, CEO of Masdar, said: “The launch of Shams 1 marks a very important milestone for Masdar and for Abu Dhabi. I am very proud of the announcement we are making today because this project, which will be the first utility scale, commercial solar power project in the UAE, represents the translation into reality of the vision the Abu Dhabi leadership has for renewable energy in the Emirate. In addition, Shams 1 will allow Masdar to transfer to Abu Dhabi the know-how and expertise we have gained from our involvement in developing world-class renewable energy projects abroad, thus not only opening the door for renewable energy projects in the UAE but also for technology transfer, contributing towards the development of a knowledge-based economy and new job opportunities through the specializations required to manage and operate the plant.”

“I am delighted we are embarking on this journey together with our strategic partners Total and Abengoa Solar, both of whom have tremendous experience and technical know-how in developing projects such as Shams 1. It is through such partnerships that Masdar will succeed in developing and advancing renewable energy solutions and establish Abu Dhabi and the UAE as a world leader in renewable energy and clean technology. I would also like to thank our partners and stakeholders in Abu Dhabi – in particular ADWEA, ADNOC and the Regulation & Supervision Bureau – for their collaboration and support and our shareholder Mubadala for its backing and guarantee of Masdar’s share of the project ,” Al-Jaber continued.

“By participating in this ambitious project alongside Masdar and Abengoa Solar, Total develops its solar energy assets, enriches its portfolio of expertise with this first step in concentrated solar technology, and reaffirms its unique partnership with Abu Dhabi,” commented Philippe Boisseau, President, Total Gas & Power. “We are pleased to be partnered with Abu Dhabi, a country we have been working with for more than 70 years, in its pursuit of energy diversification and to contribute to the Masdar initiative, which promotes the development of renewable energies.”

Santiago Seage, CEO of Abengoa Solar, also expressed his satisfaction: “We have teamed with the most qualified partners in the region, Total and Masdar, to own and operate what will be the most advanced solar plant, featuring our cutting-edge technology.” In turn, Michael Geyer, Abengoa Solar’s Director of International Development, highlighted the immense potential of building large-scale solar plants in the Middle East, a region that offers both an unlimited solar resource and infinite site locations for implementation of solar plants in its deserts.

Shams 1 is registered as a project under the United Nations’ Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and is eligible for carbon credits. It is be the first CSP plant registered under the CDM and the second project registered for Masdar. The plant will displace approximately 175,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, equivalent to planting 1.5 million trees or removing 15,000 cars from Abu Dhabi’s roads.

Senator Joe Lieberman Rebrands Cap-and-Trade Global Warming Tax as "Pollution Reduction"

People are no longer falling for the global warming scam promoted by the likes of Al Gore and others who stand to gain financially if a cap-and-trade market system is instituted in the United States of America. A year ago this global warming scam was much more underground than it is today. Now, even grannies know about Climategate. Therefore, Lieberman feels it is time for a rebranding.

Blackwater changed its name to Xe after bad publicity, and similarly, Senator Joseph Lieberman laughingly proclaimed that cap-and-trade has a new name. Cap-and-trade is now "pollution reduction" in Lieberman's eyes.Well in my eyes, just 'cause you pour syrup on sh*t, don't make it pancakes!

Cap-and-trade is still the same and it is still designed to cripple industry and caused forced shortages. I don't trust Lieberman one bit, because you can't spell Lieberman without the "lie" and "man."

Senator Joseph Lieberman, an independent trying to draft a bipartisan [cap and trade] bill, said, "We don't use that term anymore."

Instead Lieberman said, laughing: "We will have pollution reduction targets."...

Open Letter Opposing Asilomar Geoengineering Conference in Monterey, California March 22-26, 2010

Open Letter to the Climate Response Fund and the Scientific Organizing Committee

RE: Asilomar International Conference on Climate Intervention Technologies: March 22-26 2010

As civil society organizations and social movements working to find constructive solutions to climate change, we want to express our deep concerns with the upcoming privately organized meeting on geoengineering in Asilomar, California. Its stated aim, which is to «develop a set of voluntary guidelines, or best practices, for the least harmful and lowest risk conduct of research and testing of proposed climate intervention and geoengineering technologies,» is moving us down the wrong road too soon and without any speed limit.

Geoengineering refers to the large-scale technological manipulation of the climate and related systems through techniques such as putting sulphate aerosols in the stratosphere, fertilizing the ocean, and whitening the clouds. The priority at this time is not to sort out the conditions under which this experimentation might take place but, rather, whether or not the community of nations and peoples believes that geoengineering is technically, legally, socially, environmentally and economically acceptable.

Without any international consensus as to whether geoengineering is an acceptable intervention in natural systems, the Climate Response Fund and its Scientific Organizing Committee’s discussion about «voluntary guidelines» is nonsensical. The Conference organizers -- almost exclusively white male scientists from industrialized countries -- are presuming that they have the experience, wisdom and legitimacy to determine who should or should not be invited into this conversation.

There are many scenarios where geoengineering experiments with cross-border impacts would violate existing treaties (the 1978 Environmental Modification Convention or ENMOD Treaty, amongst others). The establishment of «voluntary guidelines» by an informal group meeting in Asilomar could undermine local, national, or international laws, as well as compromise strategies for mitigation and adaptation. Moreover, the history of voluntary guidelines is that companies simply do not follow them. Not only will the scientists involved in this enterprise be giving their blessing to dangerous geoengineering technologies, they have no authority to force corporations or governments to comply.

The issue of large-scale geoengineering experimentation and its impact is not about technical peer-review. It is about no less than rights, responsibilities and the future of the planet. This public debate must, at the very least, include the peoples and countries that are most vulnerable and likely to be affected by geoengineering, not only those who stand to gain. Such a discussion cannot happen without the participation of the full membership of the United Nations. Determining guidelines for geoengineering research and testing in the absence of that debate is premature and irresponsible.

Clearly, the lack of transparency and conflict of interest in the organization of the Conference leaves serious doubt about who is setting the agenda and whose interests are being served. In the few materials that have been published [1], it is stated that (unnamed) donors, the Climate Response Fund, and the Climate Institute have no «financial interest in the particulars of the technologies or the guidelines that are being developed.» Yet these organizations have publicly welcomed private sector input and money, including support from fossil fuel interests and car manufacturers. Finally, despite the fact that a list of the funders and details for the Conference was promised for 1 January 2010, the names have yet to be disclosed.

It is vital that the international debate about geoengineering not be left in the hands of those with a self-interest in its facilitation, pursuit and profit. It concerns us all and must be brought out into the open where all can participate.

That will not happen in March in Asilomar.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Proposes Global Climate Change Fund (Tax) for World Governments!

In order for there to be a one world government, the globalists must have some type of global tax on every man, woman and child on the planet. The globalists cannot just come out and demand that everyone pay a global tax, because people would get ignant (yes, I said ignant) and wild out on a worldwide scale. Therefore, the globalists have gotten creative and have come up with a way to impose a global tax without people realizing that it is a global tax.

Enter the global warming/carbon credit scam. Everyone has to breathe. Everyone has to consume. By taxing the human life cycle, the globalists get their global tax and most people will not even realize what is happening. No one ever discusses how paying money to a climate fund or climate exchange run by bankers actually helps the environment. Genetic modification is still happening. Heavy metal ocean dumping still occurs. And millions are being injected with toxic vaccine ingredients.

One such example: The IMF falls under the definition of a globalist, namely a globalist banking entity. Ironically, the IMF is proposing a new fund for the world's governments in the name of climate change. If the IMF and/or other globalists are able to pass a global carbon tax, then the world government will be fully operational.

The head of the International Monetary Fund has proposed a plan for the world's governments to pool together to raise money needed to adapt to climate change, a rare step for an organisation that normally does not develop environmental policies.

The IMF managing director, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, said the fund is concerned by the huge amount of money needed and the effect this will have on the global economy. He added that the proposal may help efforts to reach a binding agreement on climate change this year.

Weather Officials Will Bomb Clouds with Silver Iodide to Create Rain in Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Chongqing & Sichuan China

This article is dedicated to anyone who doesn't believe that weather modification is real. Check the below link, because China is about to make it rain like a Fat Joe & Lil Wayne video with this upcoming exercise.

In an effort to create rain, the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) said that weather bureaus in the affected regions are ready to "bomb clouds" with 2,116 doses of silver iodide, a compound used in cloud seeding, for which 2 million yuan ($294,000) has been allocated.

I wonder if Vegas is giving odds on the exercise's success. China has tried this type of thing in the past, and ended up blanketing Beijing with a lot of snow (see: China's Weather Modification Office Pilloried for Causing Heavy Snowfall in Beijing!).

Glenn Beck Now Believes in Man-Made Global Warming Theory Like Al Gore!

Global warming, my sine function!

I am not a fan of Glenn Beck and have never been a fan. His show is a juvenile presentation that is only mildly entertaining from time to time (i.e., when he was talking about Van Jones every day last summer). Nevertheless, Beck has lots of followers despite the fact his actions continually betray the interests of those same followers. Hopefully, people will wake up to the fact that Beck represents the "neo-con" agenda, but couches himself up as a libertarian/constitutionalist.

For example, Beck has previously argued against the man-made global warming position supported by Al Gore, but it now appears that Beck supports these global warming theories.

He believes in global warming

“You’d be an idiot not to notice the temperature change,” he says. He also says there’s a legit case that global warming has, at least in part, been caused by mankind. He has tried to do his part by buying a home with a “green” design and using energy-saving products. “I’m willing to do anything but use the CFLs,” he says of compact fluorescent light bulbs. “I put them in once and couldn’t stand the way they lit up the room.”

I would imagine that a majority of Glenn Beck's followers/listeners disagree with the Al Gore theory on global warming, so he is basically calling his audience idiots. And CFLs are not environmentally friendly, because the CFL bulbs contain mercury. If one drops and breaks a CFL bulb, there is a likely potential of mercury vapor contamination whereas one only has to worry about shattered glass with old school light bulbs breaking, and not deadly mercury.

Whenever I hear people discussing the planet's climate, I never hear them discussing the impact that the big ol' Sun has on the climate. The Sun's actions and reactions have much more of an effect on planetary climate than some dude driving an old school Cutlass. or a cow farting in Wyoming. Unfortunately, it seems that people are ready to line up and pay the global carbon tax for the right to live and breathe.

Arizona Quits Western Climate Initiative (Says Cutting Carbon Dioxide & Greenhouse Gases is Too Expensive)

I am certainly not convinced of the science that is put out by the Al Gore camps and allies. While I certainly believe that we need to reduce our pollution as much as possible, I do not believe the solution to pollution reduction is to pay taxes to the global banks for the right to live. Why do the climate changers only seem to focus on the "pollution" that are essential parts of the life cycle like carbon?

Carbon dioxide is only one of the many gases in the atmosphere and it is arguable that carbon dioxide's effect on the planet's temperature is minimal at best. Yet, we rarely hear about reducing other more deadly pollutions and gases. No, it is only carbon, carbon, carbon.

Why not just have everyone on the planet plant one (1) tree? That would add 6 billion plus trees to the world and that would certainly decrease the carbon dioxide, because those trees would convert the carbon dioxide into oxygen that we can breathe.
It would certainly not require us to pay a tax and increase the cost of living for everyone on the planet.

Similarly, Arizona says that regulating its carbon and greenhouse gases will be too expensive. Therefore, the State is planning to quit the Western Climate Initiative. I expect other States to follow suit once these States realize that they will be taxed on the right to simply exist when carbon footprints are regulated.

Arizona will no longer participate in a groundbreaking attempt to limit greenhouse-gas emissions across the West, a change in policy by Gov. Jan Brewer that will include a review of all the state's efforts to combat climate change.

Brewer stopped short of pulling Arizona out of the multistate coalition that plans to regulate greenhouse gases starting in 2012. But she made it clear in an executive order that Arizona will not endorse the emission-control plan or any program that could raise costs for consumers and businesses.

Croat Academician Vladimir Paar Warns Another Ice Age Could Begin in Five (5) Years!

If you believe this article coming out of Croatia, then there goes Al Gore's global warming argument. It is funny to hear people say that global warming is the reason why everyone is so cold. They say the summers will be hotter and the winters will be colder. In case you haven't realized, this planet has seasons with natural cycles of cooling and warming. I can believe that this planet is getting colder, but there is no way Al Gore is going to convince me that this planet is warming when I remember how much hotter it was when I was a kid.

"A majority of Europe will be under ice, including Germany, Poland, France, Austria, Slovakia and part of Slovenia", [Vladimir] Paar said in an interview on Croatian news website Index.

"Ice ages in the past lasted about 70,000 years. That's a fact, and a new ice age will occur. It is a question what will happen to people in Central European countries. They might migrate south or might stay put, but with a huge increase in energy spending", the scientist said.

"What I am warning is that global warming is natural. Some 130,000 years ago, the temperature was the same as now, the level of CO2 was almost the same, and the level of the sea was four metres higher".

Asked when the ice age would begin, he said: "That could happen in five, ten, fifty or a hundred years, or even later. We can't predict it precisely, but it will come".

Corruption and Fraud Plague European Union Carbon Cap and Trade System

This is one reason why this country does not need a national carbon cap-and-trade market system. The New York Times is reporting that the EU's cap and trade market has been besieged by fraud, including a recent access code theft resulting in $4 million in losses.

Carbon trading is a system that caps the amount of carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas, that companies may emit each year. Companies exceeding their quota can buy extra certificates from those companies that succeeded in shrinking their carbon footprint by adopting environmentally friendly technology or modifying production in other ways.

How in the hell does transferring the pollution quota from company to company REDUCE overall pollution? If my company saves 500 tons of emission, then some company that polluted 500 tons more than allowed can buy my quota. The net result is still the same amount of population. All this carbon trading is nothing, but a tax on business production.

The system is the main tool used by the European Union to meet its ambitious pollution-reduction goals.

Taking away the gains made in reducing pollution through improving technologies, how has the carbon trade system actually helped to pollution?

Many economists say trading provides the most economically efficient way to reduce pollution...

Exactly. It is an easy way for the central world banks to make money.

But since the start of the system in Europe, coal-burning utilities have earned windfall profits, while the prices of credits have never been high enough for long enough to force utilities and businesses to replace conventional power with significant amounts of renewable energy or other clean sources.

Other forms of shady trades have beset the carbon markets in Europe.

This includes access code thefts and value-added taxes being added to carbon permits sold to businesses, but not paid to governments.

Canadian Climate Research Calls for Aerosol Chemtrails to Reflect Sun's Rays!

Once again, some egghead scientists are bent on destroying the world. While this article discusses spraying aerosol chemicals to block sunlight as being a proposed solution for the future, anyone who ever looks up in the sky knows that someone is already spraying the skies with something (probably barium salts and various forms of aluminum). Spraying the sky with aerosols is ridiculous and will more likely than not have negative effects where it is implemented. In a worse case, it could create a "nuclear winter" that kills billions who starve from the lack of sufficient sunlight.

Blocking out some of the sun's rays is a faster and cheaper method of controlling the Earth's temperature than cutting greenhouse gas emissions, says a research paper authored by University of Calgary researcher David Keith...

Keith preferred to speak Wednesday about how solar radiation could be reflected back into space by releasing megatonnes of light-scattering aerosol particles, or how low-altitude clouds could be created with sea salts.

150 People to Meet at Asilomar Geoengineering Conference to Discuss Blocking the Sun and Other Climate Intervention Technologies (March 22-26, 2010)

The Asilomar International Conference On Climate Intervention & Geoengineering Technologies 2010

If the people of the world let one hundred fifty decide to build space mirrors to block the sun when we are experiencing some of the coldest days on record, then it will be a tragedy. I hope some of the We Are Change people in the Bay Area and/or Alex Jones put this Asilomar International Conference On Climate Intervention & Geoengineering Technologies being held at the Asilomar Conference Center in Monterey, California on 22-26 March 2010 (see the note above) on their calendar and protest these folks.

No one should have the right to block the sun or geoengineer this planet no matter how well intentioned their quack science may be. We certainly are living in the future with a bunch of mad scientists! And it doesn't just stop with the space mirrors.

Stratospheric aerosols

Spray shiny sulphur compounds into the high atmosphere to reflect sunlight. Relatively cheap and easy to do, though the chemicals gradually fall back to earth. The most likely option, though possible side effects include changes to global rainfall.

We already have these stratospheric aerosols. They are called chemtrails! A chemtrail by any other name is still the same.

Ocean fertilisation

Dump iron into the sea to boost plankton growth and soak up carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Hard to do on a significant scale, and doubts about how deep the plankton would sink have raised doubts about how long the carbon would be secured.

Of course dumping iron won't have any adverse effects on other marine lifeforms likely resulting in an even worse crisis. Yeah, right! And I have some oceanfront property in Oatman, Arizona for sale at $500 an acre!

Cloud whitening

Fleets of sailing ships strung across the world's oceans could spray seawater into the sky to evaporate and leave behind shiny salt crystals to brighten clouds, which would then reflect sunlight back into space. Could be turned off at any time, but might interfere with wind and rain patterns.

Spraying salt into the sky will dry up the clouds and cause droughts.

Space mirrors

A giant orbiting sunshade in space to block the sun. More likely to be a collection of millions or even trillions of small mirrors rather than a giant orbiting parasol. Very expensive and impractical with current technology.

Let's make the planet even colder than it already is.

Artificial trees

Devices that use a chemical process to soak up carbon dioxide from the air. Technically possible but very expensive on a meaningful scale.

Why not just plant more real trees?

The good folks over at Prison Planet have already discussed this article, so feel free to click over there and read a comprehensive analysis.
