National Animal Identification System Abandoned by U.S. Department of Agriculture After $142 Million Spent

I don't have much to say about this story except that I do not believe that this is the end of the National Animal ID system. It is likely just a ploy to get people to focus on other issues thinking that this battle has been won. The government will likely just rename this system and call it something else.

The National Animal Identification System, first proposed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 2004, has been abandoned after costing $142 million to develop.

In turn, the USDA has proposed to develop a new, flexible framework for animal disease traceability in the U.S. and undertake several other actions to further strengthen its disease prevention and response capabilities.

Is Sarah Palin a 9/11 Truther? (Glenn Beck is a F'n Hypocrite)

Puppet Glenn Beck set up Debra Medina last week on his radio show linking her to the 9/11 truth movement. This happened just as Ms. Medina was moving up in the Texas Governor's race. However, Beck has not said anything about the new Republican darling Sarah Palin who said much stronger words than Ms. Medina about the 9/11 conspiracy.

Check out the video below to get Alex Jones' perspective on the matter or read the article below from Infowars.

BREAKING: Sarah Palin 9/11 truther controversy makes hypocrite of Glenn Beck

Sarah Palin 9/11 truther controversy explodes days after Texas Gubernatorial hopeful Debra Medina outcast as ‘pariah candidate’ for 9/11 comments

Aaron Dykes & Alex Jones
Infowars.com
February 17, 2010

Days after Debra Medina’s rising bid for Texas Governor was stung by controversy over comments about 9/11 on the Glenn Beck Show, it has emerged that former Vice Presidential candidate and “Tea Party’ darling Sarah Palin has done her one better– stating her support for a new 9/11 investigation just before the 2008 election, and going far beyond Medina’s mild statement.

Yet, it isn’t the audacity to admit there are remaining questions about 9/11 when scientific polls have found that 84% of Americans do not believe the official story and at least six of the 9/11 commissioners think their own report is flawed, or worse. Instead, it is the hypocrisy of Glenn Beck and the media cretins who followed his lead in dismissing and defaming Medina outright for not immediately belittling 9/11 truthers while ignoring similar statements by GOP darling Sarah Palin.

9/11 Qs: MEDINA JOINED BY SARAH PALIN, DEM. GOV. CANDIDATE FAROUK SHAMI

The Statesman reported that Glenn Beck even grilled Medina on whether or not she would ‘disavow’ any advisers known to hold certain beliefs about 9/11. Medina responded. “I’m certainly not into mind control or thought-policing people.”

Furthermore, Medina’s GOP challengers– incumbent Rick Perry and Sen. Hutchison blasted her in the media within mere minutes of her 9/11 comments. Surely, they were fearful of Debra Medina’s sharp rise in the polls, and seized on the opportunity to harm her politically.

Sitting Governor Perry, who was endorsed by Sarah Palin during a recent stump appearance at the Texas capitol, stated that Medina’s comments were an “insult”:

“Today’s comments were an insult to the thousands of Americans who lost loved ones on Sept. 11 and the military men and women who are overseas protecting our country. President Bush worked tirelessly to protect our nation from additional terrorist attacks and anyone who would suggest Sept. 11 is a conspiracy involving the Bush administration should be ashamed.”

Will Gov. Rick Perry also rebuke Sarah Palin, his top endorsement, for her potentially “insulting” statement? It is doubtful, and until he does, arguably hypocritical.

Further, Medina is not the only gubernatorial candidate to question the events of 9/11. Democrat Farouk Shami went quite a bit further than anything Medina had said when he stated:

“People have talked about it. Professors have written books about it. People overseas talk about it. Whenever I go overseas, people ask me these questions about it. Why are we questioned about it? Do they know something we don’t know, the public? But you know, look, we still don’t know who killed JFK– whose behind it, let’s put it that way. Would we ever find the truth about 9/11? That’s a very dangerous subject to get into, you know? So it’s hard to make judgement. I’m not saying yes or no. Because I don’t know the truth.”

Yet no fuss is made about these individuals. Debra Medina is attacked, however, because she truly is a threat to the political establishment. Perry, Hutchison, Beck and others pretend to want limited government, pretend to defend the 2nd Amendment and property rights, but really support new taxes, look the other way at corporate looting and otherwise refuse to stand for true Texas sovereignty and the rights of individuals. When Medina proves that she really will change things and challenge undue Federal powers, she is attacked and cast aside as a pariah.

GLENN BECK DICTATES WHAT IS ‘TRUTH’

Glenn Beck Dictates what is 'Truth'Glenn Beck, who has stated that he “hates the 9/11 victims’ families” for asking questions, who has called 9/11 truthers “dangerous anarchists”, who has called Ron Paul and his supporters ‘domestic terrorists’, has gone out of his way to politically assassinate anyone even loosely affiliated with questioning the official government account of September 11. Now that Beck has underhandedly tried to sabotage Debra Medina, will he also call out fellow FOX News personality Sarah Palin for daring to broach the subject that makes him come unglued?

And, if Debra Medina is guilty of association with 9/11 truth, Sarah Palin is by definition more guilty. She has stated support for an all-out new investigation of 9/11 (the valhalla of the 9/11 truth movement) All the more threatening because Beck and Gov. Perry have already branded themselves with Palin- agast, a truther in disguise?.

After all, Glenn Beck went so far as to say that Medina’s comments about 9/11 not only urged him to ‘cross her off the list’ but constitute to make her a “Flat Earther.” Yes, Glenn Beck made an astounding appeal on his Feb. 16th program about the 9/11 truth “takeover” of the Tea Party movement. He referred to Debra Medina as a “flat earther” and implied that she, like once White House Czar Van Jones, is somehow a cryptic-9/11 truther who holds her beliefs in secret while attempting to infiltrate the halls of government.

This, Glenn Beck deduces, in an air reminiscent of McCarthy and HUAC, is why he felt the need to flush out Medina’s true attitudes via a surprise question on Sept. 11 orthodoxy. Since when did TV pundits decide what people are allowed to think, anyway? Beck “The Inquisitor” made an example out of Debra Medina and– in true Orwellian fashion– put his boot down firmly, demanding that those ‘dangerous truthers’ be purged or damned.

A real tea party, 9/11 truth. He then lectures on why the NY Times is linking the Tea Party with “violence.” Why? Because of 9/11 Truthers who have ‘infilitrated’ the Tea Party he pretends to speak for.

Despite what Beck has alleged, the 9/11 Truth movement is committed to non-violence. The only danger posed is in the questions it has raised.

Actually, the Tea Parties of the last decade were first those of 9/11 Truth, then Ron Paul, and only after the election of Barack Obama, hijacked by the Republican Party and FOX News as a vehicle for a party resurgence.

By contrast, Glenn Beck gave Sarah Palin a worshipful welcome to the FOX Network only weeks ago, embarrassingly comparing her to George Washington, reading aloud his diary entry anticipating their interview together, putting her on the “most admired list” and otherwise urging her to be a ‘reluctant’ candidate in 2012. (See below or Jon Stewart’s lambast of the awkward interview)

But do not despair. Debra Medina has not lost her potency in the race for Governor. It is precisely because of her unforeseen quickening in the polls that the establishment media and candidates raced to shut down a viable candidate that stood for true issues. Her campaign dies only if you let it. They are afraid of a true Constitutional office holder; don’t let attack dogs like Beck practice duplicity– writing off Medina for 9/11 and praising Palin in spite of it. Let Glenn Beck know that the thought police will not tell us what to think or how to vote.

DARPA to Create Oil & Jet Fuel from Algae That Will Only Cost $1-2 Per Gallon

DARPA is at it again! This time, the mad scientist wing of the Pentagon has announced that it will be able to create jet fuel from algae and this biofuel will be competitively priced against other fuels. If anyone else was making this claim, then I would doubt it, doubt it. However, DARPA's past track record makes me believe that it will be able to refine the process as claimed.

Darpa's research projects have already extracted oil from algal ponds at a cost of $2 per gallon. It is now on track to begin large-scale refining of that oil into jet fuel, at a cost of less than $3 a gallon, according to Barbara McQuiston, special assistant for energy at Darpa...

"Oil from algae is projected at $2 per gallon, headed towards $1 per gallon."

Iran Drills Its First Oil Well in Caspian Sea

Now that Iran is drilling for oil for the first time in the Caspian Sea, this information will likely be added to Madame Clinton's dossier as she and others in the Obama administration continue beating the war drums.

Energy wars, nothing but energy wars!

The Islamic Republic of Iran has started drilling its first exploratory well in the Caspian Sea to search for oil in the resource-rich body of water.

“The Amir-Kabir semi-submersible drilling rig has started exploration drillings in the Caspian Sea. It will drill the country's first exploratory well at a depth of 1,550 meters under the seabed,” North Drilling Company Managing Director Hedayatollah Khademi told the Mehr News Agency on Saturday.

Council on Foreign Relations Says Al-Qaeda Lacks Ability to Cyberattack United States of America

I have been saying a lot of the same things over the last few years. There is no way that some guys in ski-masks huddling in Afghan ice caves can conduct sophisticated cyberattacks against America's grid and network. If the media says that Al-Qaeda is cyberattacking fools, then it is probably a lie. Even the Council on Foreign Relations agrees and says that you will not see Al-Qaeda conducting major cyberattacks. I don't trust the CFR at all, but remember its own words the next time the media says that Osama bin Laden is planning a major cyberattack against America.

While the United States' critical infrastructure, from the electric grid to the financial sector, is vulnerable to attack through cyberspace, al-Qaeda lacks the capability and motivation to exploit these vulnerabilities. To penetrate, map, and damage the networks that control the industrial base requires a large team of experienced hackers, a lot of time, and advanced infrastructure. Only a handful of groups, mostly nation state actors, possess this level of capability, and al-Qaeda is not one of them.

If anyone is going to be hitting us with a cyberattack, it will probably be conducted by agents with connections to China, Russia, Israel, North Korea or the corporate sector.

Britain Offers Bribe for Teenage Girls to Get HPV Cervical Cancer Vaccine

As more and more people refuse vaccines, the powers-that-be have to create new ways to encourage people to get them. Britain is offering its teenage girls £45 (approximately $71 USD) shopping vouchers to get the HPV vaccine. The vaccine contains adjuvants in certain regions and have caused numerous side effects. Hence, a bribe is needed.

Teenage girls are being rewarded with shopping vouchers for having the cervical cancer jab.

Girls aged 16 to 18 are being given £45 of vouchers if they complete an inoculation course against the HPV virus, the sexually transmitted infection that causes 70 per cent of cervical tumours.

Toxic Aspartame Sweetener Rebranded as AminoSweet

I guess the word is getting out about how bad Aspartame (a/k/a NutraSweet) is. I recall when aspartame was first introduced when I was a kid in the 1980s. I remember trying it and absolutely HATING the stuff. To this day, I can instantly tell when a waiter brings me a diet soda. It is absolutely disgusting and this was even before I knew the side effects and its origins.

Excuse me, but I will pass on ingesting bacteria waste.

Due to this negativity associated with the Aspartame name, this Aspartame name is now being rebranded as AminoSweet. However, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, and Aspartame by any other name would be just as toxic.

Ajinomoto believes that the time is right to remind the industry that aspartame tastes just like sugar, and that it’s made from amino acids – the building blocks of protein that are abundant in our diet.

The name AminoSweet is appealing and memorable. It reflects that AminoSweet comes from the same amino acids that are abundant in the food we eat every day.

Japanese machinery and robotics manufacturer Sakakibara-Kikai has released the first genuine bi-pedal exoskeleton – a landmark event and one which is certain to attract a lot of attention for the company...Sakakibara-Kikai’s Land Walker is just a tad shorter than Enryu at 3.4 metres, weighs 1000kg and shuffles along at 1.5kmh. Enryu is a lot faster than Land Walker but uses caterpillar-like tracks rather than legs to perform its chores – the strapping 3.5 metre Enryu will be called upon to rush into burning buildings, lift heavy objects and rescue people.

SunPower Corporation Acquires European Solar Power Firm SunRay Renewable Energy for $277 Million

There are big monies to be made in the green energy industry. Money or not, it is a really interesting hobby. I build portable jackleg solar systems and it is quite fun to basically create energy for free from the sun.

Although it is not really free, because there is a significant initial cost to assemble even a small basic solar system. However, once you make that initial investment, you just have to sit back and collect your energy. Nevertheless, this below press release is not for a small basic solar system. No, this solar deal is worth nearly $300,000 million.

SunPower Announces Agreement to Acquire SunRay

More Than 1,200 Megawatts to Be Added to Project Pipeline in Europe and Middle East

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb 11, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX News Network/ -- SunPower Corp. (Nasdaq: SPWRA, SPWRB) today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire SunRay Renewable Energy, a leading European solar power plant developer with offices in Europe and the Middle East, including a principal project office in Rome. SunPower will acquire SunRay from its shareholders, which includes its management and Denham Capital. Upon closing the transaction, SunPower will acquire a project pipeline of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects totaling more than 1,200 megawatts (MW) in Italy, France, Israel, Spain, the United Kingdom and Greece. The pipeline consists of projects in various stages of development. SunRay's power plant development and project finance team consists of approximately 70 employees.

"SunRay has a proven track record of developing bankable solar power plants in a complex environment," said Howard Wenger, president of SunPower's utilities and power plants business group. "This acquisition is consistent with our long-term company strategy to develop a strong brand and complementary channels to market. SunRay's exceptional team and pipeline will add to our significant internal investment in North American power plant development. It also complements our European engineering, procurement and construction business that serves a broad range of development partners."

"SunRay has developed an impressive pipeline of utility scale projects throughout Europe," continued Wenger. "We congratulate SunRay on receiving the European Solar Deal of the Year award today from Project Finance magazine for the largest solar PV power plant financed in 2009, the 24 MW Montalto power plant in Italy, which launched SunPower's relationship with SunRay. This acquisition further demonstrates our confidence in the Italian market and regulatory environment, and will accelerate the growth of our European and Middle Eastern power plant business."

"Our experience working with SunPower on Montalto and several other power plants in Italy convinced us that SunRay will be joining the global solar technology, performance and quality leader for solar power plants," said Yoram Amiga, CEO of SunRay Group. "Our combined experience globally will allow us to offer our customers reliable energy delivery at competitive prices. Denham has been a great partner, providing both capital and advice at an important stage in our company's development. We are pleased to have worked with them."

"The SunRay Renewables team has proven itself unparalleled in its ability to develop, finance and construct world class solar projects," said Scott Mackin, partner in Denham Capital. "The marriage of that team with the superior technology of SunPower will create a formidable platform of new, socially and environmentally responsible and highly efficient solar PV projects in many countries around the world. We are delighted to have supported the initial development of SunRay's portfolio, including the initial phase of the award-winning Montalto project, the largest in Italy. This project was completed in partnership with SunPower, and we are confident that the two firms will continue to expand on their success together."

"SunRay has a strong pipeline in Italy, with several power plants already permitted for delivery in 2010," said Gian Maria Ferrero, vice president of SunPower's Europe, Middle East and Africa utilities and power plants business unit. "Italy has demonstrated sustainable, strong growth in both rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems, bringing new jobs to the market and private investment into new power resources without the need for major new transmission investment. The growth of the Italian market has validated our prior acquisition of Solar Solutions, now SunPower Italia. SunPower and SunRay will seek to build on our success throughout Southern Europe and into the Middle East and Africa as demand for new power resources increases."

The total consideration for the acquisition is approximately $277 million, including $235 million in cash and $42 million in a letter of credit and promissory notes
. SunPower has sufficient cash to close the transaction and does not intend to raise equity capital to finance the acquisition. The company will provide specific financial guidance regarding the positive impacts of the transaction during its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2009 earnings conference call in March. The parties anticipate closing the transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions, in the first half of 2010.

J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. is acting as exclusive financial advisor to SunPower with regard to this transaction and provided a fairness opinion regarding the acquisition to its board of directors.

Are they cashing out their monies and benefits now while they can?

It simply does not make sense to resign from good-paying jobs in a recession unless these people are privy to information that I do not know.

Arizona Quits Western Climate Initiative (Says Cutting Carbon Dioxide & Greenhouse Gases is Too Expensive)

I am certainly not convinced of the science that is put out by the Al Gore camps and allies. While I certainly believe that we need to reduce our pollution as much as possible, I do not believe the solution to pollution reduction is to pay taxes to the global banks for the right to live. Why do the climate changers only seem to focus on the "pollution" that are essential parts of the life cycle like carbon?

Carbon dioxide is only one of the many gases in the atmosphere and it is arguable that carbon dioxide's effect on the planet's temperature is minimal at best. Yet, we rarely hear about reducing other more deadly pollutions and gases. No, it is only carbon, carbon, carbon.

Why not just have everyone on the planet plant one (1) tree? That would add 6 billion plus trees to the world and that would certainly decrease the carbon dioxide, because those trees would convert the carbon dioxide into oxygen that we can breathe.
It would certainly not require us to pay a tax and increase the cost of living for everyone on the planet.

Similarly, Arizona says that regulating its carbon and greenhouse gases will be too expensive. Therefore, the State is planning to quit the Western Climate Initiative. I expect other States to follow suit once these States realize that they will be taxed on the right to simply exist when carbon footprints are regulated.

Arizona will no longer participate in a groundbreaking attempt to limit greenhouse-gas emissions across the West, a change in policy by Gov. Jan Brewer that will include a review of all the state's efforts to combat climate change.

Brewer stopped short of pulling Arizona out of the multistate coalition that plans to regulate greenhouse gases starting in 2012. But she made it clear in an executive order that Arizona will not endorse the emission-control plan or any program that could raise costs for consumers and businesses.

Virginia House of Delegates Approves Bill Banning Implanted Microchips and Tracking Devices

Earlier this week, it was Georgia passing a bill to ban microchips. Despite the many feet of snow in the Virginia area, Virginia's House of Delegates has followed Georgia's lead and passed a bill banning implanted microchips. Let's hope the bill becomes State Law.

Warning of sinister privacy intrusions in an Orwellian world, Del. Mark Cole said the bill means no one could be required to wear a tracking implant as a condition of employment or by insurers.

"I personally don't care why a person objects, they should not be coerced under the threat of possible loss of employment to take an implant," said Cole, R-Spotsylvania.

Croat Academician Vladimir Paar Warns Another Ice Age Could Begin in Five (5) Years!

If you believe this article coming out of Croatia, then there goes Al Gore's global warming argument. It is funny to hear people say that global warming is the reason why everyone is so cold. They say the summers will be hotter and the winters will be colder. In case you haven't realized, this planet has seasons with natural cycles of cooling and warming. I can believe that this planet is getting colder, but there is no way Al Gore is going to convince me that this planet is warming when I remember how much hotter it was when I was a kid.

"A majority of Europe will be under ice, including Germany, Poland, France, Austria, Slovakia and part of Slovenia", [Vladimir] Paar said in an interview on Croatian news website Index.

"Ice ages in the past lasted about 70,000 years. That's a fact, and a new ice age will occur. It is a question what will happen to people in Central European countries. They might migrate south or might stay put, but with a huge increase in energy spending", the scientist said.

"What I am warning is that global warming is natural. Some 130,000 years ago, the temperature was the same as now, the level of CO2 was almost the same, and the level of the sea was four metres higher".

Asked when the ice age would begin, he said: "That could happen in five, ten, fifty or a hundred years, or even later. We can't predict it precisely, but it will come".

United States of America to be Hit by Simulated Cyber Attack on February 16, 2010 (Cyber ShockWave 2010 w/Chertoff, Negroponte & McLaughlin)

Ten months ago and repeatedly over that Remixx World! has focused on articles about the H1N1 "swine flu" and cyberattacks, because it is my belief that we will soon some type of cyberattack 9/11 false flag attack that will lead to some type of iPatriot Act that will eliminate the Internet as we currently know it.

2009 was about the H1N1 "swine flu" and 2010 is gearing up to be about cyber attacks. From the Chinese attacks on Google and other companies to the military creating cyber commands, there is a lot happening in this realm. Bipartisan Group of Former Senior Administration Officials Respond to Simulated Cyber Terror Attack

WASHINGTON, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) announced today that it will host Cyber ShockWave, a simulated cyber attack on the United States. Cyber ShockWave will provide an unprecedented look at how the government would develop a response to a cyber crisis. Cyber ShockWave will take place on February 16, 2010, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The Cyber ShockWave simulation, created by former CIA Director General Michael Hayden and the BPC's National Security Preparedness Group, led by the co-chairs of the 9/11 Commission, Governor Thomas Kean and Congressman Lee Hamilton, follows the acclaimed series of Oil ShockWave simulations conducted in 2007 by the BPC and Securing America's Future Energy (SAFE). Oil ShockWave addressed dependence on foreign oil as a national security threat.

Cyber ShockWave, developed in partnership with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, SMobile Systems, Southern Company and Georgetown University, will highlight the immediate, real dangers of cyber-terrorism by bringing together a bipartisan group of former senior administration and national security officials playing the roles of Cabinet members. The participants, whose mission is to advise the president and mount a response to the attack, will not know the scenario in advance. They will react to the threat in real time, as intelligence and news reports drive the simulation, shedding light on how the difficult split-second decisions must be made to respond to an unfolding and often unseen threat.

Following the simulation, there will be a post-event discussion with the participants and partners to discuss what the U.S. government can do to avoid a real-world cyber attack of this magnitude and what can be learned from the exercise.

Former senior administration officials and national security experts participating include:

  • Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff as National Security Advisor
  • Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte as Secretary of State
  • White House Homeland Security Advisor Fran Townsend as Secretary of Homeland Security
  • Director of Central Intelligence John McLaughlin as Director of National Intelligence
  • Senator Bennett Johnston as Secretary of Energy
  • Director of the National Economic Council Stephen Friedman as Secretary of Treasury
  • Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick as Attorney General
  • White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart as Counselor to the President
  • General Counsel of the National Security Agency Stewart Baker as Cyber Coordinator

Cyber ShockWave is sponsored by General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, SMobile Systems, Southern Company and Georgetown University.
