Is There a Secret Underground Government Base in Cottonwood, Arizona?

***UPDATE (October 23, 2009): The Citizens for Underground Base Disclosure page is no longer active. I have no idea why it is down. If you still want to cover this story, here is an additional link. I will update the page further if/when additional information surfaces.

I would not be surprised if the government had a top secret underground base in these Arizona mountains. Area 51 can't be our government's only top secret base. Area 51 is probably a ruse anyway considering so many people know about it. I had never heard about Cottonwood, Arizona, so it would make a perfect location for a secret base.

Rumors have swirled for years in the small communities of Cottonwood and Sedona, Arizona that an "underground base" exists in the mountains nearby. UFO sightings and strange phenomena are not uncommon in the area. While there is no hard evidence of the existence of any kind of facility, there are certainly enough rumors, stories and oddly related phenomena to warrant further study.

We believe the base, if it does exist, is almost completely hidden underground. There are no outposts, guard towers, cameras in view, fences or other outward signs (if there are, they are well hidden, or housed in benign buildings, such as farm houses). There may be entrances that are highly camoflauged, and there may be air vents, but no physical evidence has ever been found that we know of. What we do know is within a specific geographic region of about 5 square miles, in the rugged and beautiful Secret Mountain Wilderness, stories and reports of "high strangeness" have occurred over the decades, and it is here that we present to you what we have found.
