As of 7:42pm PDT, the FDIC has closed five (5) banks -- First Bank of Kansas City, InBank of Oak Forest, Illinois, Vantus Bank of Sioux City, Iowa, Platinum Community Bank of Rolling Meadows, Illinois and First State Bank, Flagstaff, Arizona.
First Bank of Kansas will cost $6 million against the FDIC insurance fund. InBank will cost $66 million against the FDIC insurance fund. Vantus Bank will cost $168 million against the FDIC insurance fund. Platinum Community Bank will cost $114.3 million against the FDIC insurance fund. First State Bank will cost $47 million against the FDIC insurance fund.
The total amount charged against the FDIC insurance fund today is $401.3 million! I will update this list as more bank closings, if any, come in today.
