Earth-Orbiting Satellites Detect M-2 Class Sunspot Eruption (Strongest Solar Flare in Almost Two Years)!


This article will not do anything to disprove the 2012 rumors and discussions that a large solar flare is going to wipe out the country's electrical grid and/or worse.

Earth-orbiting satellites detected the strongest solar flare in almost two years. The M2-class eruption came from old sunspot 1039, currently located behind the sun's eastern limb. NASA's STEREO-B spacecraft recorded this extreme ultraviolet movie of the blast.
