Japan's Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama Announces Resignation

Something is definitely up in the international circles. In the last few weeks, the British Prime Minister has been voted out and the German President resigned. Now it's the Japanese Prime Minister announcing his resignation after only eight (8) months of service. Who's next?

"I'm going to step down," Hatoyama declared in a live broadcast on Japanese television NHK, while addressing party members of both the upper and lower houses of the Diet, Japan's parliament.
