I need to check Mr. Matt Simmons' credentials, because he has some radical suggestions and based on my initial review of his background, he seems like a Neo-Con. I do not know if his recommendations are based on an agenda that is not in the best interests of the American people and the people affected by the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster. As soon as I determine whether Mr. Simmons' analysis is reliable or not, I will update this article.

BP said in a statement today that it has spent 930 million responding to the spill, which began after an April 20 rig explosion that killed 11 workers.
