Lakehurst Section of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey Currently on Lockdown Due to 'Several Simultaneous Incidents'

Senior Airman David Carbajal said "several simultaneous incidents" prompted the lockdown at 9:15 a.m. He said he did not know what those incidents were.

Until the missing Afghan soldiers with U.S. military security clearances are accounted for, I am going to be posting any information relating to potential security breaches at military bases. Currently, the Lakehurst section of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst is on lockdown this morning, base officials said. No one is saying why the base is on lockdown, so it could be anything. I'll update this story if there is indeed a security issue here.


The Lakehurst section of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst is on lockdown this morning, base officials said.

The lockdown went into effect at about 9:15 a.m., Senior Airman David Carbajal said. The lockdown means no one is allowed to leave or enter the military base.
