Los Alamos Campground Near Los Angeles Closed After Plague Is Found in Squirrel

This is just a heads up to anyone that might be thinking about a camping trip out to Los Alamos Campground that you might want to avoid the local squirrel population, because at least one (1) squirrel has been infected.

The Los Alamos Campground in the Angeles National Forest has been shut down after a squirrel captured there tested positive for plague.

The campground will remain closed for at least ten days, according to Los Angeles County public health director Jonathan Fielding.
