Millions of Small Dead Fish Wash Ashore on Beach in Gulfport, Mississippi Near Jones Park

While it is not unprecedented for mass fish die-offs to occur in very hot temperatures when there is little to no oxygen in the water, someone should examine these fish to see if oil caused the deaths.

Millions of small dead fish have washed ashore just east of Jones Park. The fish are believed to be menhaden.
