There is no way I would ever turn my gun in for $75. That is a lowball offer! Nevertheless, Chicago has horrible violence on its streets. I see young Don Lemon on CNN doing stories about these streets on a regular basis each weekend. I previously linked a story on here about a random riot just happening outside one night (Chicago's Uptown on the Verge of Possible Marital Law Over "Near Riot-Like" Activity?).Chicago also has some of the nation's most restrictive gun laws. Hmmmm, I wonder if there is a connection. Mayor Richard Daley now wants everyone to turn in their guns - nationwide!
He added: “I wish the President would call upon people to turn in their guns. I wish the governor would do that —all elected officials — and say, ‘Guns destroy people.’’’
No Mayor, people with guns destroy people. Politicians who enact restrictive gun laws leaving thousands defenseless in their homes destroy people.
This year, the bounty is back up to $75 per gun and remains at $100 for every assault weapon and $10 for each BB gun, air gun or gun replica.
