Binyamin Netanyahu Makes Secret Trip to Russia (Urges Kremlin Not to Sell Weapons to Israel’s Middle Eastern Enemies)

The political area is like a spy movie. This chapter of the global spy movie includes a Nation State Prime Minister taking a secret trip to the heart of the Russian government. Binyamin Netanyahu believes that the Arctic Sea cargo vessel was delivering illicit arms to the Iranian nation, so he decided to take a personal trip to visit the Russian bear. Many believe that this trip to see Putin (note: Putin meeting is not confirmed, but Netanyahu is not taking trips to Russia to meet with underlings) was to urge Russia to stop selling arms to Iran.

Russia counters and says that disastrous consequences will result if military action is launched to prevent the Islamic republic developing a nuclear bomb. Russia knows that a war with Iran will send thousands of refugees across the Iran/Russia border, so it does not want one. The U.S. needs to tread lightly and evaluate the benefits, if any, about further engagement with Iran.
Mr Netanyahu’s office said only that he was “busy with a classified activity”. It did not deny an Israeli newspaper report that he had travelled to Moscow to urge the Kremlin not to sell weapons to Israel’s Middle Eastern enemies amid claims that the Arctic Sea cargo vessel was carrying S300s destined for Iran when it was intercepted by the Russian Navy.
