Dr. Nancy Snyderman Discusses the Realities of Health Care Rationing in an Emergency!

Man, that is a creepy lookin' thumbnail of Dr. Nancy. Here is the transcript of basically what Dr. Nancy says about health care rationing in an emergency:

"...But there are two words we all have to talk about, triaging and rationing. Triaging meaning that doctors and nurses decide when you come to the emergency room, who gets what.

And rationing really being a nuance change of that word, how we give people access to lifesaving modalities. Could a 12-year old bump an 85-year old off a ventilator? You bet.

And it is rationing, and it will happen in the United States.

Not because people are making evil decisions or acting like God, but because we have to figure out who gets what. We talk about those things, before the emergency.
