Obama's Energy Czar Van Jones Resigns His Post!

I do not agree with the communist beliefs of Mr. Van Jones whatsoever, but I do feel a certain sense of sadness toward his situation. He is a man from west Tennessee. He is an California attorney. And he was a nerd growing up as a kid. I feel like Van Jones would be a cool brother with whom to discuss politics.

With that being said, Mr. Jones has resigned his post as President Obama's green czar. There was just too much fire for Mr. Jones to remain in the White House after his earlier statements were released. Beck the Clown focused much of his television shows last week to detailing every controversial statement of Jones over the last few years -- many of which were way left of the political spectrum. After these statements were exposed, there was no hope for Van Jones and he had to figuratively jump on the grenade for Obama to save the day. Otherwise, Jones would have become a completely polarizing figure who would have been an easy target for the Republicans.

After more than a week of withering criticism for past comments, Jones has resigned as an advisor to the White House on green jobs.

The White House announced the news in the early hours of Sunday morning. In a statement, Nancy Sutley, Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, thanked Jones "for his valuable contributions to the Council on Environmental Quality. Over the last six months he has been a strong voice for creating 21st century jobs that improve energy efficiency and utilize renewable resources. We appreciate his hard work and wish him the best moving forward."

I must give Beck the Clown credit, because he did make Van Jones famous. I had no clue about Jones until Beck started dissin' him every episode.
